ProsGood people. Very helpful, and a very supportive management.
    Great acquisition strategy.
Leader in the areas that it choses to operate in.

ConsExtremely difficult targets. IT seems like the company does not want you to make your entire commission.

Advice to Senior ManagementPeople at the HQ: please study the ground realities and the market before setting sky high targets.

Oracle is good for first 3 years then you should switch (unless you are in sales)

Pre-Sales Consultant (Current Employee) Singapore (Singapore)

ProsExcellent products, can provide end-to-end solutions, very aggressive in sales (so as pre-sales you learn things quickly), lots of talented resources to learn from, if you work hard you get recognition. As pre-sales there is lot to learn and no one will stop you from learning new things and starting the pre-sales activities on your own. Oracle will help generously for external training and certifications (full reimbursement). work from home, flexible timing, when you travel you always stay in 5-star hotels and their is no TA/DA (so expenses are all paid via corporate credit card and there is no limit for food bills ). Good compensation for sales guys

Consnegotiate well when you join oracle because salary wont increase every year, been in Oracle for 6 years, achieved 150% of KPIs fr past 3 years, but no pay raise. Only way you can get a pay-raise is after you get a job outside and based on offer letter, HR and Management will match the salary (I dont support this method)
Politics is there, need to know the right people to get promotions (btw promotions doesn't necessarily increase your salary). Manager can tell you that his own salary has not increase so how can he help you ? huh...
Since its a sales-driven org, above mentioned cons dont apply to sales team. they can get their salary raised easily (they have solid numbers to show from yearly quota achievement etc). Pre-sales, even though is the most important dept, dont get good treatment.

Advice to Senior Managementmanagement know what they are doing, so feedback is not required from employees

    Satisfied but could be better

    Singapore (Former Employee) Singapore (Singapore)

ProsI was working here for 2.5 years. Found that most of the colleagues are very helpful. Excellent products

ConsVery competitive. Most product BU only focus on their product rather than working across BU to be a united front to the client. I guess this is pretty much the culture in Oracle

Advice to Senior ManagementFocus on synergistic and walk the talk of one RED team
