I worked at Orange - Romania

    Pros

    Good benefits and decent pay
Intelligent colleagues (for the most part)
    Some good managers/directors
    Fun place to work
    Updated offices

    Cons

Poor communication between senior management and the "troops"
    Some very poor managers/directors
company canteen was not so good
    Needed more parking spaces

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior management (ie management board) must make a better effort at getting to know the staff around the company. Better strategy and planning and communicating company direction would make Orange a much better place to work. Bottom line, work better at communicating with employees to foster a more collaborative environment and agile environment.

I worked at Orange - Romania

    Pros

Good pay, good team, good hours. It's a great place to work if you like being respected [most of the time...] by your customers.

    Cons

When the shop is dead, the day will drag. When the shop is dead, and there is no POS to change.. it will REALLY drag.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If the management can talk the talk, they better walk the walk. One of the biggest issues I had, was my managers aggravation with the lack of sales - when he couldn't sell himself.

I worked at Orange - Romania full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Excellent work conditions for new starters. Better than average pay for newcomers. Plenty of opportunities to grow for the first 5-10 years of your career. Company benefits are among the best.

    Cons

There's little things to do once you become a good specialist and salary tends not to grow accordingly. There's just no room for extraordinary skilled people. Also, management team could use a reshuffle.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Next time when "empowering people" comes into discussion try to connect this to the budget that is available to the guy that you want to empower.
