Pros
Humane environment. Supportive of part-time
Cons
Not a good place to `grow' career wise
Advice to Senior Management
It is better, though harder, to put the talented people as management than to look after those that have been there forever
Pros
- A true industry leader
- Most of the managers and employee are very nice and supportive
- Lots of opportunities for R&D people
- Can truly learn about doing business in APAC
Cons
- Most of the business trips are to APAC only and minimum 2 weeks - a real burden on the family
- Operates in technological niches and therefore the industry knowledge is mostly irrelevant in Israel
- The company is not growing. Constant pressure on profits
- When there are profits, they don't trickle down to employees
- Low compensation relative to high-tech industry
- Increasing office politics
Advice to Senior Management
- Review compensation policy
- Review 2 week trip policy - cause of a lot of distress
- Kill unsuccessful projects
Pros
You can work at the headquarters and see and influence critical decisions.
Some bright people work there, but their numbers are getting smaller everyday because they leave.
Cons
Low compensation, non competitive salaries.
Good people are leaving the company.
Most development is moving to APAC region.
No real innovation in the past 10 years - usually reuse existing concepts, and don't understand why competitors pass them.
Advice to Senior Management
Take more chances. Otherwise, competitors will take over the market.
Rethink who your manafement team is. Some of them should not be there. Spending many years in a company is not a reason to keep someone as a manager.
You are loosing good people. Think why this happens and fix it.
