    Pros

Interesting projects and some very good people, challenge with the current management team and approach will be retention of these people.

    Cons

Culture of fear operates within the LNG business and is driven from the highest levels. Promotions are not based on performance, work-life balance is non-existent, management is non-supportive and dictatorial. There is an talk of people being their greatest asset but the actions do not reflect this.

    Advice to Management

Start being honest, people can see through you and know that they are not the priority. Remember actions speak louder than words and your conduct will always be observed.

    Pros

    Decent salary and working conditions.

    Cons

Government department mentality and a lot of legacy staff still hold the company back.

    Advice to Management

Stop worrying about your positions and make the decisions that you are hired and payed to do!

Staff should be promoted based on their competence and level of experience not on who they know or how long they've been with the organisation!

    Pros

Exposure to big projects, company provided fruit and biscuits.

    Cons

Origin is not really one company. It is a bunch of groups that don't talk to each other all sharing a company logo, and that is within the one department! Many layers of management, very little direction.

Projects and operations people are always butting heads.

    Massive engineering staff turnover.

    Advice to Management

Get people talking to each other. Facilitate employees getting experience in projects and operations so there is less conflict. Learn to make a decision.

    Pros

Intelligent people, opportunities for those that take initiative. Majority of employees work hard and are happy to be there which means it is a great place to work.

    Cons

Expanded too fast so systems are out of data and not user friendly, lots of band aids and work rounds required. Management is aware and process of updating is happening but slowly.
