Pros
Excellent pay compared to other competitors and a great training program for employees. Also you will gain a good grasp of education related to the field you are in.
Cons
Work load is to heavy and management can be really disorganized depending on which branch you work in. The least experience people externally always get manage opportunities before employees. The hours can be very hectic during the warm weather and be prepared to work six days a week. You really cant make plans to do anything when having a position in the field unless you take off.
Advice to Senior Management
Poor equipment to get the job done at times and management is afraid to spend the money.
Pros
Learned how to perform the proper Pest Control service to customers
Cons
Senior Management VERY Negative - the beatings will stop when the moral improves!
Advice to Senior Management
Positive leadership will help the company grow as well as caring abot the people and not just the money!
Pros
Supportive management and flexible schedule.
Cons
Poor travel compensation which generally does not cover average gas costs. Paychecks are set on the 15th and 25th of each month and lose of one month of base pay/travel stipend per year. When a client cancels a contract before the agreed term, commissions will be taking out of your next paycheck.
Advice to Senior Management
Pay your guys a little more!
Pros
The freedom to work on your own was ok, and at least they gave a 300 dollar a month car allowance.
Cons
There was clear preferential treatment to a certain rep in the office I worked in. My Sales Manager that hired me said I would receive approximately 20 leads a week and then I would fill in the rest. No problem, except I was MAYBE, MAYBE given 1 lead a week, and that was a BIG MAYBE.
Pros
Great week long training in Atlanta. Much on the job training and continuous support from branch manager, who can make your experience good or horrible. Company vehicle and gas card.
Cons
Long hours. Been working 55+ hours per week Mon - Sat because we are below projected sales. When slow time of the year (Nov - Feb) thay want you working extra hours to pull sales. During the peak season, they view "time as money" and want you out there taking advantage of it. I suppose this is one major reason for the high turnover. They also do a poor job of getting you leads in the slow season. I was handed one maybe two a week. You have to call yourself and set up the remaining 25+ appointments yourself. The pay could be very good but when adjusted to a 40 hour week, it comes out to ~$25K a year. If you have no family or social life and are willing to be married to a job, this is for you.
Advice to Senior Management
Be more thoughtful of your employees personal life or at the very least, be upfront in the interview and talk about the long hours.
Pros
Job flexibility. They allow you to work from home part of the week.
Leads are called in to the office & provided to you.
Cons
Poor management.
Sales manager was not qualified to lead a sales staff. Provided little support or inspiration.
Very poor pay.
Advice to Senior Management
Need to completely re-think the way the sales office is run. Need to update the tools that sales has to work with. Need a managed database to work from.
Pros
Decent pay check. Job security. Good people.
Cons
Insurance is lacking. Very, very long hours. They expect you to get all your services done, even the ones that have canceled and do not have money for it. Did I mention the long hours.
Advice to Senior Management

Pros
Can make decent money as a branch account manager if you put the work in
Good Benefits
They will not babysit
Cons
Non-Competes with Sister Companies
Minimum sales to get higher commissions (essentially a draw)
It is a service business so you are essentially placing your life in others hands once the sale is made
No residuals...one and done sale
Advice to Senior Management
Take away minimums
Give Residuals to sales people
Allow reps to go after ALL business
Pros
The training for sales and customer service agents is awesome. You are very prepared to do your job. The base pay and commissions are great if you can actually receive them.
Cons
The call center hires far too many people each spring and summer. There won't even be enough seats for the salespeople. They begin to fire randomly after school starts and will cut the staff by 3/4. The most logical process would be to hire seasonal workers but everyone hired believes that they are going to be permanent. The management in the call center is horrible. There are almost daily changes to the script and pricing. There are requirements to get autopay and have near perfect QA while using an antiquated computer system. If you don't meet the standards for either data or QA; you can lose quite a bit of money from your paycheck. There is no true documentation of your stats and even if requested the managers are unable to provide reinforcement for the stats that they post for you. Time off requests are refused frequently. There is constant yelling to take another call or that there are calls on hold. It is a very high pressure, high sales quota environment.
Advice to Senior Management
Start caring about the way the employees are treated at the national call center. Make sure that the management is not simply creating formulas to end employee's careers just to free up seating. Allow some freedom for your employees to be promoted within the company- even outside to branches. Break up the management team that is at the location now. There is a smugness and hateful nature in them that is lowering the moral of all the sales team.
Pros
Good initial training through Atlanta...Glen Rollins is a wonderful CEO, company vehicle, tools and equipment are basically plentiful, comfortable uniforms, flexibility to make your own schedule.
Cons
INCOMPETENT MANAGERS that will lie, cheat, and basically steal from you and the company right under their eyes and corporate can't see it ! Due to poor management moral is horribly low, you will work 7 days a week, no thanks, then they forget to pay you, lose your check, finally you get your check, then they forget your commission! POOR POOR MANAGERS !
Advice to Senior Management
Please please look at your Kissimmee branch. Service managers may know how to kill bugs but they are killing your good techs too and we MAKE the money for you! 4 branch managers in less than a year, turn over is incredible! GLEN ROLLINS PLEASE LOOK AT THIS BRANCH AND SAVE US !!!!
