Pros
They provide free meals and drinks and breaks among others. The workers are friendly and helpful at all time whenever possible.
Cons
The facility is not the best to work in. It is not in the best location of the town by any means.
Advice to Senior Management
The management should try to speak one language of choice whenever possible to make it fair to all employees who work there.
Pros
The clientele is an interesting mix of middle-upper class families, and a mix of the local "liberal" population. The food and drink are top-notch, the atmosphere is nice and well maintained. Servers and cooks can drink up at the bar after work, and can partake in the excellent late night happy hour specials.
Cons
Despite the "history" of one of the owners working in the families original restaurant in Puerto Nuevo, neither owners have any real business sense, and no history of working in other restaurants either as servers, or managers. They lack basic knowledge of managing a restaurant and have been successful primarily because of the excellent food, atmosphere, and niche they've built themselves. They've attempted to hire managers in the past, but continuously circumvent their better judgment, rendering their manager, an over-paid hostess.
Their respect level for all of their employee's is terrible. Especially new ones, they constantly drive quality servers away due their pretentious sense of self-entitlement. They will sit down after the nightly rush, and select a server to wait on them hand and foot. Mind you, they treat you like trash and certainly don't tip.
Advice to Senior Management
Owning your own restaurant does not entitle you to look down on other people.
