I worked at Osage Million Dollar Elm Casino full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Osage was large enough to have the best technology. I worked with great people in IT who I would love working with at any time.

    Cons

No cons to list. There are ups and downs with every job, just take them and build on them!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I feel like Osage had a really great policy for time off. I really have no complaints. The HR department was always just a call away and my management was always accessible.

I have been working at Osage Million Dollar Elm Casino full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Benefits are outstanding; best I've experienced, pay is decent, and Security department is fairly structured, definitely room for growth and promotion.

    Cons

Environment is terribly smoky for today's technology in HVAC systems. Other properties have already upgraded their systems, but Tulsa has not. Also, many people across all departments are rather immature; sometimes I feel like I'm still in high school.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please avoid micromanagement, review P&Ps as to remove/reduce contradictions, and lighten up a little on the "professional appearances" mantra and allow Security to participate in fun company events. The guests will appreciate it.

    Pros

Open 365 24 hours. Is you need any special shift you should find a department that will work for you.

    Cons

Not a good eco friendly enviroment. If you dont smoke watch out because you will inhale and smell like it everyday.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When to take better care of your employees that are good for the company. Replacing them can be hard to find.

I have been working at Osage Million Dollar Elm Casino

    Pros

If you work for tips and you are good at customer service, tips are good.

    Cons

Management is not good at setting direction and strategy for the compay. Management is indifferent about quality control. Efforts to establish a brand and bring high-paying customers into the casino--and then keep them--are very poor.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire someone who knows what they're doing. Set a marketing strategy and stay with it.
