    Pros

Great products based on best available technologies.

    Cons

Poor start up of new factory. Executives did not know how to bring manufacturing back to US from Mexicco. IT systems did not work. Supply chain not effective for the Southest location. Instead of a one-year start up, it will consume 3.5 years before the business is stabilized. One more year of exhaustive work to go with little appreciation for the committed employees. Much more negatives can be said, but this rater remains hopeful.

    Advice to Management

Support and appreciate employees that still care.

    Pros

The education package is excellent. It's paid for my undergrad entirely.

    Cons

Your salary is based on where you start. Meaning if you start making 35k, every promotion is typically 10% regardless if the base for that position should be 40% more than you were making.

    Advice to Management

    Drop the BIS integration.

    Pros

Our service business is like a solid rock. When the economy sinks, our service business keeps UTC afloat. The organization is built on close relationships and long-term strategic planning.

    Cons

Pay is not the best. As with all companies, there are bad apples that fester in some positions, making everybody's lives difficult. We are now part of BIS, within the big UTC corporate umbrella, and Carrier executives have taken over. Things are constantly changing, and not always for the better.

    Advice to Management

Salaries need to increase for your top talent. Sooner or later, your value as an employer comes into question when your salaries are consistently 10% below industry average.

    Pros

They pay very well, especially those that come with some experience.

    Cons

Office politics and backroom deals are the name of the game here. If you like bureaucracy and doing most of your employee relations behind closed doors, then this is the place for you.

    Pros

International best practices and strive to improve on quality and service.
A huge list of talented individuals whom you can obtain assistance from at any time, Administrative or Operational.

    Cons

Very results orientated which in turn result in unreasonable deadlines. Employee surveys exist but not really listened to and feel that they can be more attentive.

    Advice to Management

Focus on the people and the results will come.
