I worked at Outback Steakhouse part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good tips, fun co-workers, easy job, 50% discount on food, pretty good and positive work environment if you are doing all the things you're suppost to be doing and doing them right

    Cons

Rude proprietor, no dying your hair any color other then black, brown, and blonde. Only one earring per ear, no facial piercing, no nails, your uniform has to be exactly like everyone else, no personal things added to it. Hair must be tied even if its short, really hard to move up to be a server.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider the feelings and thoughts of your workers not only your customers

I worked at Outback Steakhouse full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Things are simple: you keep your tables happy and management is happy. Politics can be a bit much, but that's every restaurant.

    Cons

Management is forced to follow corporate rules. They can be quite frustrating, such as you cannot have more than 3 tables at a time - ever. Makes it hard to make a real living with 3 tables. Management tends to overstaff because they are worried about complaints to corporate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let stores have more independence in policies.
