I worked at Outpost Natural Foods part-time for less than a year
Pros – 1. Competent and personable management
2. Employee benefits - can be part of the UCFW Union, health insurance for employees working as least 20 hours/week, retirement fund available as well
3. Upper management is aware of and involves employees in the business- quarterly meetings inform everyone of things such as sales, expansion, new products etc.
Cons – Depending on your department, the hours may not be super flexible so if you're a student or have other responsibilities it may or may not be a good place for you to work.
Also, some of the hipster kids they hire goof off even in front of customers and some will give you attitude if you don't look "cool" enough.
Advice to Senior Management – Bring more variety to the prepared foods and baked goods!
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

I worked at Outpost Natural Foods
Pros – flexible scheduling, embrace living your life not your job. People love their work there and are easy to get along with (in the Administrative offices)
Cons – Had to wait full year to get benefits because my job's hours were reduced to below full time. Some changes take a long time because it is a smaller and frugal Cooperatively run business
Advice to Senior Management – get better benefits for part time staff (above 20 hours a week)
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
