Oxfam has dedicated people fulfilling a mission

ProsOxfam America is a very good place to work with a generally positive atmosphere. People really care about the company and work hard for its mission. It is one of the more financially stable non-profits. For a first time job out of college you can get some very positive skills that will help you in the future. Training is available in multiple areas free to the employee.

ConsSalaries are below market and controlled for most employees through an union.

    An exhilerating roller coaster ride

    Program Policy Advisor (Current Employee)
    Boston, MA

ProsThe staff is incredibly smart, talented and passionate about the mission of the organization. We manage to climb very high mountains despite the challenges, external and internal.

ConsSenior management is out of touch and out of date. People are afraid to challenge leadership publicly because they (the staff) care so much about Oxfam and don't want to cause harm.
