    Positive Outlook

I worked at Oxford Graduate School part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Oxford Graduate School takes Christian scholarship seriously and holds high expectations for graduates and employees alike. The faculty are highly committed to the mission of the institution and many employees are volunteers. The notion of Christian scholarship "to change the world" is the realization of a practical need in the world.

    Cons

Because of its mission-drivenness, the demands can be high on employees/faculty, especially at peak residency times where classes are held 12 hours/day back to back.

    Advice to Management

Continue to build sustainable revenue streams, capital campaigns, and enrollment growth. Support faculty and employees as they serve the mission of the institution.

  3. A comfortable atmosphere in which each person is affirmed for who they are in an honest and transparent manner.

    Cons

It is a nonprofit organization which currently cannot pay market rates for the positions needing to be filled.

    Advice to Management

    Keep the faith!

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook

I worked at Oxford Graduate School full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You will find some nice people with laudable goals, as formally expressed, though you will be expected to work essentially as a highly underpaid volunteer.

    Cons

The school has a history of top board leadership entirely disconnected from reality, living in a fantasy world, while taking itself entirely seriously. In 30 years of operations, it has only managed to graduate less than 300. With rare exceptions, its graduates are nice, ineffectual, people.

    Advice to Management

Become a serious academic institution or fold your tent. Stop playing at being an academic institution.
