    I have been working at P.F. Chang's full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

-Guests are generally easy to cater to
-Menu is simple when you get to know it

    Cons

    -Non-existent management
-Very fast paced, expect to run and bus all your tables yourself

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to get better at working with guests without having to comp any and all complaints. Even the littlest things result in whole bills getting comped, which screw over the servers' tips.

    Pros

Use to be an awesome company to work for. Great opportunities with a great culture!

    Cons

Ownership - Centerbridge Equity. No culture - upper management does not care about anyone other than the wallets!

    Pros

Great food, and restaurant people are entertaining.

    Cons

Work load/pay/family time ratio no longer makes sense.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take care of the people who took care of you from the beginning.

    I have been working at P.F. Chang's

    Pros

Serving around the holidays will bring in BIG tips but prepare to work hard double shifts for that cash. Checks are non-existent as you get paid a couple dollars an hour before taxes.

    Cons

Long shifts. No benefits. Non-existent paychecks but that's to be expected for a server. Management is hit or miss.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They wouldn't consider it if you gave it.

    I worked at P.F. Chang's part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The management is great, but they expect to get your work done.
Good schedule, which is performance based.
    Management is fair and objective.

    Cons

    No benefits.
Clientele is hit or miss and you will sometimes come in for a shift, stay an hour and half and be cut without having any tables or making any money.

Former Employee - Back Waiter in Scottsdale, AZ

    I worked at P.F. Chang's

    Pros

Pay can be good, with lots of hard work on weekends.
Lots of shifts during busy season, always something to take if you want to constantly work.

    Cons

Overworked backwaiters, payed exactly the same as servers hourly yet make significantly less in tips, and work twice as hard. Managers tend to pick on the backwaiters while servers can stand around and do nothing.
    No breaks
Doubles and no clock out times given.
    At my location, unfriendly coworkers

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let back waiters make minimum wage, $7.25/hr
Don't single out back waiters all of the time, if there isn't anything to do, don't run around making us do pointless things, while servers are allowed to stand and do nothing.

    Pros

Industry is fun. Field is hard working. Home Office has had a lot of turnover but executive leadership changes are promising.

    Cons

Being held by private equity. Culture took a big hit.

    I have been working at P.F. Chang's

    Pros

Promoting from within turned me from a food runner to a manager over seeing a multimillion dollar operation.

    Cons

Same as any large company.. Broad stroke changes that don't always make sense for your particular operation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase bonus take for managers. before centerbridge payscale was better.

    Cons

    Internal
    Management
    Pay
There is high unethical treatment of their employees. It's very sad.
