    I have been working at P.F. Chang's

    Pros

    family meal is pretty good

    Cons

They scheduled me for time i was unavailable and had listed as unavailable. I was unable to come and beforehand met with the manager and told him. he said he'd take care of it. when i didn't show up on that day however, the next day all my shifts were deleted. No one reached out and talked to me, I'm not sure what happened. No one will respond to my emails or calls.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

communicate to your employees and dont schedule us for time when we tell you ahead of time (a month) that i can't come in.

I worked at P.F. Chang's full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Family meals, discounts, and opening a new store was a lot of fun. The company also provided one pair of work shoes even if they were the most uncomfortable shoes ever.

    Cons

Poor management. They were all men and they promoted young servers without any supervisor experience on the basis they were having inappropriate relationships with them. Strong experienced servers were overlooked in appreciation and good comments about them from guest were mocked by the managers who wanted to somehow impress the young servers they were bedding.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management should be wise to hire more estrogen producing store managers to keep hormones of the boy-men they hire calm.

I worked at P.F. Chang's full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Training was long, but beneficial. For awhile they were very accommodating with my schedule to balance out my two jobs. I absolutely loved all of my co-workers and that was the hardest part of leaving. Since management isn't very supportive, you gain great skills as server and bartender. I feel I could handle any chaos in a restaurant after my years with Changs.

    Cons

Managers are very over critical of everything you do, and the customers are always right. It just depend on the day if you had a manager supporting you when something was going wrong. I had several instances where I didn't feel I had the support I needed from my managers. Also, managers aren't allowed to help with any server or bartender duties, so don't ask them for help. They are only allowed to walk around and talk to customers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Support your team as much as you can and hire strong servers.
