“Went from a nice place to work to a prison.”
I worked at PA Lumbermens Mutual Insurance
Pros – Generally there were a bunch of nice employees who had been there for many years and some are still there. The benefits package offered was fair but expensive.
Cons – There was very little chance of moving in the company. The company was run for the executives to fatten their wallets. They treated everyone like school kids where you clocked in and out even as a salaried employee. They had a tardy policy which prevented no work flexibility and the made no exemptions. If you worked all night you were expected to be there on time the next morning or receive a tardy. 10 tardiness and your fired.
Advice to Senior Management – Treat people like humans and they will return it tenfold. Be honest and fair with people and not look the in the eye and call the right hand man and then send them on their way so you can save a buck and maybe get your huge executive 25-40% bonus.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
