    Pros

Employee share program is very lucrative.

    Cons

Sexist work environment. With new U.S. leadership regime, there is less concern for employees; for example, "we hired him, not his family," when considering to ask an employee to relocate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The further up you move in the organization, the more removed you are from the front-line worker. Get to know the people who have the boots on the ground.

Can be political as any large Co. if you find yourself outside political it's best to leave.
If you are asked to transfer and you say no you will be fired, in most cases.

    Pros

Generally great coworkers willing to put in the time. Provide co-op students with work placements

    Cons

Poor management style, no leadership in pre-construction, waste huge amounts of money bringing people from overseas, then forget about them. They are not open to creative solutions or evolving. They just want it done the old fashion, "PCL way."

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Care about your employees. Understand that PCL has a lot of growing up to do. Ask questions, listen to peoples views and make change! If people leave because of poor management -actually do something about it! Offer employment to co-op Students after they graduate and don't loose great people to the competition. Pay the correct salaries rather then trying to handcuff employees with share options. The shares are not worth it! Base salaries are better elsewhere and you actually have some control.
