    Pros

    Company Longevity, Apple and Netcents Contracts;

    Cons

There is no room for growth, the compensation is comparable to minimum wage, there is a strong culture of fear. If you have an opinion, you must keep it to yourself of you will find the door fast. The sales training is awful. Many reps are left to training over the phone through a WebEx that does not work half of the time. The systems are archaic and it takes days to get a response back from your own company, if you get a response at all. Many reps do not last more than 3 months, they burn through them like gasoline. It takes 6-12 months to build up a customer base, and by that time you most likely will no longer be employed. The commission plan is built to reward longevity, if you are new, you have little to no chance to succeed

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Show some interest in your employees, get involved with the sales process.

    Pros

They hire just about anybody so if you really need a job apply at PCM, Can't really think of anything else

    Cons

High turnover rate, Low pay, commission structure is ridiculous, people that been working here for over a year still don't know how they get paid, they don't fire that much but people quit all the time

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Drop the commission structure and teach a little bit about sales during training instead of 3 weeks of learning the systems and you would probably keep more employees.

    Pros

Free food lunch n learn, Vendors give out free stuff, Hour lunch, benefits, sales support group in Manilla to help process orders.

    Cons

NO yearly raise, ever... 70/30 split of all commissions AND Spiffs to management (and they won't mention this till you find out for yourself and ask), timed breaks, HR is a joke, Autocratic and militaristic supervisors who cherry pick the best accounts to their favor, zero accountability of supervisors and VP is long winded, Outlandish Goals that grow exponentially, "talk time and dials" is the main saying, although anyone who's been around knows that to make 4 hour of talk time and 100 dials you need to dedicate all of your time to it and would never have enough time to actually prepare the quotes and answer emails and respond to bids, also the supervisors think it's great to have meetings throughout the day to interrupt your work flow, especially if a vendor is willing to pay $500 for a table top presentation. the pay is well below industry average, and ZERO raises, this ship is going down, jump out now!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not be so obtuse as to let go of employees who were with your company over 15 years and had long term sales relationships, it's myopic to hire newbies for less and expect that they'll be able to retain the same relationships that long timers had. How about instead of a holiday party you actually pass out a holiday bonus to your employees, or give a cost of living increase at least. Are you aware the minimum wage has gone up, but the salary of your long term employees never increases. (In the rare case an .08 cent raise will appear) Get with it if you want to keep what talent you have left, everyone knows this ship is going down, and changing your name won't help that image.

I have been working at PCM full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

I can think of only one: intimate knowledge of the technology vendor marketplace.

    Cons

Where do you start? If you're been on this planet for at least 30 years, you know company's lie to get employees in the door. I have never counted more than 10 separate lies at any company in the past, but I did at PCM! Lies ranging from the size of their company (I heard multi billion $$$ at least 3 times, but the truth is $100 million), to the number of Account Executives making over $100K (a mid level manager said dozens but I have never found a single one) to the top commission rate on sales stated at 25% but truth is much less than that. AE's are not paid on sales here, but on the PROFIT you bring to the company. You will never know or even have a remote idea of what you're making until you receive your first commission check. The wait for your first check will be long, plan on about 80-90 days after you start. There are no benefits for 90 days, even vacation which begins accruing on your 91st day! You have to work a full day on Christmas and New Year's Eves, really? Yes. Check out their health care insurance rates! I checked on the California Exchange for the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) and the prices are the same as you would pay for your portion of "company subsidized" at PCM. I know the economy sucks, but PCM is working at a hellish company run by Satan's helpers. Don't even think about interviewing here, there are better jobs and you won't make ANY MONEY HERE! If you don't believe me, go to their parking lot and look at all of the 10 year old GM cars. The company changes its name every couple of years...I wonder why they would do that?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do you have any idea how much lying and outright fabrication of the truth is being done by lower to mid level representatives of your company?

    Cons

It seems like everyone always was behind and rushing to catch up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at PCM full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

There are always opportunities for advancement. A great deal of the people in their current roles are unmotivated so it's not hard to stand out from the crowd by doing your job well. The company is always willing to pay for high end IT certifications if you ask. This is a huge plus and a rarity! New management is breaking free of the call center mentality.

    Cons

Below industry average pay is still an issue for most job roles.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Talent costs money and below average talent costs the company even more money in lost sales, returns, losing out on certification based marketing dollars, and overtime for hourly workers. Continue cutting the dead weight and pay the people who make money more money.
