    Pros

PEAK is full of great people, especially the upper management. It is truly a team, like I have never experienced before in a workplace.

    Cons

Training takes a bit, but it is beneficial. It is my feeling that management should sit in on a trainee to get a feel for their level, then adjust the management trainee program to fit their needs.

    Advice to Management

Everyone should read and keep "7 Habits." And then they should read it again! Great book.

    Pros

Peak Technical Staffing is a Staffing Company with 4 Branches in California with their corporate office in Pittsburgh, PA. It is a privately held company which is both good and bad. The good is that they do not have to answer to their shareholders which allow them the flexibility to pivot and change their direction on a dime. The bad is that they are run by a single person that manages a team of self-centered managers that enjoy their power and that make changes on a dime without really taking into effect the employees that are affected by those changes. Some very wonderful people work there just wanting to do good work and help people get new or better jobs.

    Cons

Regarding the above, policy changes like the winds. Today's policy is yesterday's "never ever happen!" Commissions are cut without being discussed or reported to the staff. You only find out when your check is short and you have to bring it to the attention of clueless managers. The sales people cannot sell and are just order takers that feel entitled to let everyone know how skilled they are and do NOT like criticism at all. Recruiters are all fighting over the same jobs because no new jobs from new companies are brought in. The contractors are not the primary focus, the clients are elevated above all. Closing the deal is the ONLY motivating factor.

    Advice to Management

Start managing and stop intimidating the recruiting staff. Hold the sales folks responsible for the same minimal requirements that you hold the recruiters too. Lead and stop expecting the staff to follow your crazy spot changes.
Listen to suggestions from your staff and stop thinking that you're smarter than everyone in the industry.

    Pros

Base salary, with comission, and unlimited earning potential. Offices nationwide. Weekly pay, with comissions paid weekly also. Aggressive sales & recruiting techniques.

    Cons

Can appear archaic in overall management style, office environment, and technology. Perception of being unaware, close minded, or open to new/updated ideas, and what competition is doing to succeed. Excessive turnover. Very tight with money. Same chronic issues reappear over time.

    Advice to Management

Update management from top to bottom, along with technology. Keep employees informed of changes in upper management. Offer more robust employee training, new hire engagement, and better onboarding process. Be upfront in hiring process about what is offered to new and existing employees.
