    Pros

Friendly staff, challenging position in a very demanding industry. Clear goals with a comfortable work environment. The owner is still very involved in the company and day to day, which is a huge bonus in this case. His leadership resonates throughout the company.

    Cons

As with most jobs, there will be some hard days when you would rather be elsewhere. Trucking industry is very demanding and drivers can be tough on the staff. Work life balance.

    Pros

PGT is a great, family oriented company with a strong senior leadership team. I worked for PGT for 4 years, and then I left for what I thought was a better opportunity. After working for another company for a year, I came back to PGT, and have been here again for almost 2 years now. I can't imagine working for another company again, and I'm looking forward to finishing out my career here at PGT. The owner and the senior management group genuinely care about the employees and our families.

    Cons

I honestly don't have anything negative to say about PGT.

    Pros

The people who work at PGT seem to all want to do the right thing. No company is perfect and these people will admit that. But knowing that you are with a solid group gives me a lot of confidence in my career. Pay and benefits are very good. The owner, Pat, does what he says, and means what he says - he's a straight shooter.

    Cons

Nothing specific to this company in particular - but the trucking industry is hard. Whether you are in the office or on the road there is a lot of pressure in a revenue driven industry like trucking.

    Pros

There are none, despite the propaganda which corporate puppets and bullied minions would have the community believe. Facts are facts, done and done.

    Cons

Corporate hubris, arrogance, blacklisting of applicants, marketplace bullying, questionable ethics, mediocre service. The firm is full of itself but in actuality pales in comparison to smaller and larger peers alike. My advice to applicants: avoid it.

    Advice to Management

Learn and adopt some humility, which isn't likely. You are not "all that", as they say. Treat external applicants and market peers with some class and professionalism. You're NOT the "Proud Professionals" which you (mis)believe you are, folks.

    Pros

Great new equipment and if willing to work hard, the pay is there. Treat their drivers very well and never have any major problems.

    Cons

Some dispatchers can be hard to see eye to eye with, but if a problem arises, they have no problem immediately moving you to another dispatchers board to quell any problems.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work that you guys do.
