    Cons

Very Demanding, low pay, bad benefits.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Build relationships with workers in the store other than manager. Be in the stores to know what is actually going on, dont just take manager word, allot of lies. ALLOT OF CRONYISM/NEPOTISM

Anyone complaining and still working hear is an idiot. Your advise and review would mean nothing to me, being that you're not wise enough to make a change and would rather stay and complain.

    Pros

If you can handle the pressure, challenge and constant evolvement this is a great place to grow. Many of the field leaders are internal promotions. The company actually has a goal to use internal promotions 75% of all promotions!

    Cons

Technology and systems not up to modern day standards. This of course makes it more challenging, how do you look at challenges?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Four walls means one leader.

Communication s is non-existent both at the corporate level and corporate to local.

I have been working at PLS Financial Services full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Local management is very respectful and easy to deal with. The employees are very nice and professional with the customers.

    Cons

Corporate doesn't have a clue. Even among their own departments. Marketing sends out new programs but the materials don't arrive on time. Real estate plans for a new store remodel but where they plan items are not allowed by PLS standards. You would think that departments would understand what is needed or allowed by the company.
They say that "the customer deserved better" but there are stores that the AC or heat does not work in the lobby or that there are wheel chair ramps for the disabled or baby carriages but there are no automatic door openers because they says a single door is to expensive to do and they put it on the back burner. I believe it is because it makes their store numbers weaker which makes their bonuses smaller.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You need someone to oversee communications between department and corporate/local or better yet a person to get local feedback and take it to corporate with authority to make changes for the betterment of the company. Management is to worried about their own jobs and don't want to make waves. There is supposed to be a committee to access problems but during our town meetings, the owners will hear of problems and say they will look into it but you cannot get answers because PLS is big on going through management levels and nobody wants to ask up line because they don't want to make waves. It also makes for a waste of everybody's time. Start a line of OPEN communication and listen to your employees who do the job everyday, they might just have some good ideas.

I have been working at PLS Financial Services

    Pros

Not really much positive, to say about this company. Supervisors not willing to go listen when you have suggestions. Only benefit is work environment is great around holidays.

    Cons

Constant revolving door, IT is under-staffed, doesn't listen to suggestions, HR is a joke on not willing to listen to complaints before being terminated and no writeups for termination.

I have been working at PLS Financial Services full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Good atmosphere. In-store management are willing to help and coach new hires on the customer service process. Very willing to answer every and any question. District Managers are available to answer questions and concerns from managers in training.

    Cons

Job requires a lot of standing. Given that you are working a 8 - 10 Hour shift, it can be tiresome. Upper management can come down hard on employees and in-store management if there are errors or discrepancies, and can make some rushed decisions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep an open mind. Investigate incidents fully before making decisions.

I worked at PLS Financial Services full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay and clean working conditions

    Cons

Although on the outside the working conditions seem pleasant enough there is a underlying caustic attitude. Supervisors and directors that smile to your face and promise things while underneath they are planning against. Deadlines will change on a whim and blame is easily tossed around without cause. Production and support are a complete disconnect.

Apply with caution, they have a 105% turnover rate. Had I known the true environment I would have never accepted a position there.

FYI.. Benefits kick in only after 60 days.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respect your employees. Stop adapting the "fast food" philosophy. Accept that there are “excuses”and listen when someone has an idea.

    Pros

Good Learning Experience. If nothing else its a job

    Cons

Ignorant upper Management. Racist, Favoritism. HR is a joke.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a clue. You got rid of the people that made the company great. Look at what a joke your stores are from a few years back. Review your directors and see if they really know how to run the business. People Location Services has become a joke.
