    Pros

Endless opportunity, you can achieve anything at PMA and you will receive support from leadership to achieve you goals. It is a wonderful environment where like a highly selective private school that makes a profit.

    Cons

Endless opportunity. It is a lot of responsibility to have the kind of freedom that PMA offers. It is like owning your own business without putting your capital at risk. All the stress of making decisions and choices.

    Advice to Management

be inclusive. When a firm is as long standing and well respected as PMA there may be a tendency to group think and become unilateral. However the true strength of the firm is the collective intelligence of all the members of the firm.

    Pros

The overall experience has been excellent for my professional growth and the managers are great to work with. Work hours can have some flexibility.

    Cons

There is no real structure for professional advancement and compensation therefore does not necessarily match achievement and contribution to the company.

Great training, income was better than average, I traveled the globe with the company. Year after year of double digit growth.

    Cons

Chris Weaver retired and the company made a drastic change in a different direction

    Advice to Management

Washington National Management (Carmel, IN). You blew it when you let Chris Weaver leave.

    Pros

PMA Consultants has a diverse client base and allows employees the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects in many different industries.

    Cons

The size of the company limits some opportunities both for growth and the landing of clients. The rate structure at PMA also poses a problem when bidding on certain types of work.

    Advice to Management

Treat the employees with the respect they deserve when it comes to important policy decisions. Open the books on the company profits and profit sharing. Don't be shortsighted when making policy decisions. The employees are the company's only asset, you need to be sure you can retain and attract top talent.
