    Pros

Interior decor - glazed tiles, lush carpeting and celebrations & events in the name of
    team building

    Cons

--Despicable form of management ** managers have scant or almost no idea of the work they
manage and engage in ludicrous and grotesque decision making often subverting the process of project execution

-- management craftily form coteries of sub-standard employees spawning dire mediocrity for
their self-serving reasons and brazenly snitch the credit for success realized by real technical
people thus jeopardizing the very bedrock and ethos of excellence - the resultant scenario is
an exodus of qualified people from the company leaving behind a residue of an unimaginable
    embodiment of ordinariness

--senior management in north america seem to be in oblivion - as inexperienced and
unqualified managers go up the ladder leaving serious minded technical people in utter
    despair

    Advice to Management

is this acceptable ? north american management should surveil the divison in bangalore.

    Pros

The employees are a great group of people, friendly and engaging. As long as you get your job done they are very accommodating as far as work hours goes.

    Cons

If you are not an engineer, career development is not one of their strong suits. Over time they have cut back on many of the (non-salary) benefits.

    Advice to Management

They have done a better job recently as far as engaging employees in the company's goals and vision.

    Pros

PMC has a highly talented, driven, and experienced technical staff. There is a strong culture of aggressive drive to improve processes and continuously grow on and exceed the successes of each device we develop. The technical problems to solve are complex and difficult, and we generally succeed.

    Cons

We often try to do too much with too few resources, sometimes leading to sub-optimal project outcomes and project failures or cancellations. Corporate growth is lacking as we struggle to find direction or new opportunities outside of our core legacy markets.

    Advice to Management

As an R&D driven company our reality is that we need to spend money now to make money in the future. Sitting on cash is not helpful. Be more transparent with the technical staff about the plans and vision of the executive. Be honest and realistic about the opportunities we are pursuing and the challenges and threats to their success. The past decade has been filled with messages of growth and opportunity, but we have on average only maintained our market positions.

    Pros

    - work-life balance can be pretty good once you figure out which deadlines are actually important
    - rank-and-file employee do care about their work environment, and setup fun activities

    Cons

    - poor management exec/senior level, with some exceptions
    - stagnant work environment. Most senior employees hoping to be laid off.
    - poor performing employees are still treated well, which devalues the work of all good employees
    - corporate values are amusing, in a bad way
    - recent award programs tend to reward 70% of management

    Advice to Management

    - stop rewarding managers for bad decisions
    - if you want employees to work harder and better, you have to give them a proportional incentive and/or provide opportunities for growth

    Pros

PMC has a very good work environment. Usually teams are small in size and the team members are located in which makes a bunch. This creates a an environment conducive for good communication and brainstorming. Hard work is always rewarded. Excellent group of highly skilled engineers.

With a slightly high work hours, burn out is expected at the end of each project. Employee stock benefits are a little on the lower side.
