I worked at POSP as a contractor for more than a year

    Pros

Original premis was good and the people were smart and committed to making the program work. Great opportunity to help build a program to service our primary care community.

    Cons

Government organization and therefore very bureaucratic. The physcians were, at times, extremely difficult to deal with and did not value the program. Leadership lost sight of goal.

Overall a good experience, but beware of sharks and politics...

I worked at POSP as a contractor for more than 3 years

    Pros

When you are working with a good manager, things are great. The people are good and talented people.

    Cons

The sharks, not many there, but the ones that are there have very sharp teeth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

POSP got rid of a lot of good people because of sharks and politics. Focus on serving the clients and not internal interests to make look like things are happening.

I have been working at POSP

    Pros

Contract work is flexible and paid very well. Autonomy assured.

    Cons

Contract organization. Continuity an issue. Program changes constantly. Volume of work inconsistant and never close to what was promised.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It is difficult to build momentum and loyalty with a contract-based organization.
