    Project manager, consultant

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    I worked at PQC International

    Pros

I got to work with extremely smart people, C-level exposure, opportunity to work independently and on teams. PMP cert. gain valuable PM and RM experience.

    Cons

There are managers in this company who have no business being in a professional environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give mangers who have no business being a manager, some training on how to treat people with respect. Get rid of management who are just maximus gluteus kissers.

I worked at PQC International full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Got to work on great projects with opportunity to learn and have fun. Met some very interesting people from diverse backgrounds.

    Cons

PQC treats employees poorly and strategic planning is not present. No support provided by corporate staff and inexperienced people in strategic and support roles. Extremely large overhead to support CEO's dream activities with no ROI. CEO hindered work with clients and damaged company reputation earned by employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

hire talent for a fair price and attend to basics of business management. Plan for the long term and create a plan for execution.

Former Employee - Trainer - Sales/Rookie Program in Atlanta, GA
Former Employee - Trainer - Sales/Rookie Program in Atlanta, GA

I worked at PQC International as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

None - I never worked on anything that seemed like real work and never was trained to do anything. Everything was bogus. I was told to develop training programs and for global locations but had no information on any location, contact, how to get classes up and registered. I was told to learn but was not given proper resources to do anything.

    Cons

I came on in the "rookie" sales training. Our team was treated horribly on purpose and to add to that, the lead in our group was horrible and a suck-up. Frank Payne wanted me to work non-stop even after leaving work. He manipulates people to do things and brings GOD into it - which was the first and foremost reason why I quit. He told me that "God put something on my heart - now you need to do it" and it would be something ridiculous.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get out - that man and place is an insane asylum - I actually worked there in 2007 and was reminded of this company as I was completing a background check.

I worked at PQC International full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Nice benefits
Bonus structure (only if business is good, even if your performance is good)
    Work from home
    Small company with nice people

    Cons

    Employee turnover
    Client turnover
CEO lies against people and manipulates people to make himself look good
    Money management issues
On call 24/7 for the CEO
Doesn't pay people on-time and not remorseful about it

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't keep all your eggs in one basket. The business is struggling because of greed. Trying to milk clients for big bucks when you should diversify and gain more clients.

I worked at PQC International full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Strong team environment, excellent benefits, opportunities to interact and showcase competencies to C-level clients, company reimbursed training if interested in PMP certification.

    Cons

Complete absence of internal cash flow - meaning when a client PO doesn't clear on time associates go with out paychecks. In the time I've worked here we experienced four delays in our pay in one year. Each time we were told it was due to our lack of productivity! HA! Extreme favoritism plagues this office. If you aren't related to the CEO or are a female don't expect to get any recognition.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do yourself a favor shut the doors and pack it up you're in over your head.

    Pros

WIll offer you a job and get you really excited about what you will be doing
When you figure out that this job not going to work out you will quickly move on and find a job that you will not only be happy with but you will be happier with your life

    Cons

    Favoritism
Management does not care about how their decisions affect the people that they work with on a daily basis
The job itself... Don't work for this company. They feel you should be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For someone like myself in my mid 20's, I personally do not enjoy getting phone calls at 11 pm on a Friday while I am out asking me if I can work on something.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop trying to grow a company that is failing. For a business that has supposedly been around for 20 years you certainly don't have your stuff together. If you want to grow a sales team then hire experienced sales people, not people right out of college that have no book of business and hold them to the same expectations that you would someone who has been a road warrior for his or her entire life.

When you give someone a salary, don't take it away overnight because the employees will disappear with the salary!!

Building a plane while you are flying means you have no clue what you are doing or where you are going. For a management consulting firm I would suggest you get a consultant from a real management consultant company like Accenture to tell you that you have everything backwards and should probably just shut your doors.

I worked at PQC International full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    - Associates from Diverse Backgrounds
    - Some talented associates
    - Offices for all associates (No Cubicles, shared spaces)
    - Location is right off the highway

    Cons

    - Favoritism plays a big hand at this workplace
    - You can be successful at the company even if you lack the skills as long as you kiss up and one of the favorites
    - Very little or No opportunity to learn for internal associates
    - Associates are talented but not being utilized at the company properly
    - Lots of inconsistency in salary
    - A lot of unethical situations that make associates uncomfortable occur in the office
    - Not a very professional environment
    - Not diverse in clients
    - Company decisions are often based on gut feelings, faith, and hope rather than strategic business analysis

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It's the manager's job to make sure the associates talent is being used correctly.
If I were given an opportunity to work at PQC knowing what I now know, I would only agree if I was was working with the clients. Internal office is an absolute chaotic mess.

    Pros

Can not really think of any.
    - flexible working hours
    - encouraging environment for certification

    Cons

    - Favoritism ( thats the worst part of working there )
    - Inconsistent incapable management
    - Dirty Politics everywhere for your survival even if you are working hard; considering the size of company is relatively very small for such politics.
    - Bonuses and promotions are totally based on favoritism
    - No personal growth
    - Frequent financial instability ( I witnessed 3 times when company did not have any money to pay their people for like 2-3 months )

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Less Meetings
    - Hire capable and Qualified persons on upper management positions if you really want to gain profit.
