Advice to Senior Management
Go get a real job and stoop having favoritsm on those who kiss the most behind
Pros
If you work for the DirecTV account, then you are able to get the largest package for free and all you have to pay for are for any additional services you may need.
Cons
Upper management is extremely unprofessional exhibiting irrational behavior and raising their voices as if the staff under them (middle management and sales agents) are toddlers.
Advice to Senior Management
With the corporate drama that occurs within PRC, I would not even wish to advance any further than the position that I was in.
Pros
near by home - flexible in time off -
ok for seniors
Cons
you have to work 100%
Advice to Senior Management
start paying better
Pros
The benefits....The company has decent medical and dental insurance in addition to other desirable benefits such as tuition reimbursement. Tuition reimbursement is typically available after 3 months of employment. Other benefits include flexible spending accounts, direct deposit, bad weather condition pay, and an accrual system for personal time off. Working off the production floor has its rewards of independence and an ability to connect with co-workers and establish camaraderie that allows one to work as an effective team. Attire has relaxed in recent years allowing a casual dress code including jeans and open-toed shoes for a comfortable work environment. Opportunities to travel as related to opening new client accounts. Safe and clean environment. Opportunity to learn different job functions as employees are often cross-trained.
Cons
Career advancement is literally attached to who you know. The selection of management is questionable as many do not have the motivational skills and educational skills to effectively manage their departments. Many think in terms of "today" or "right now" instead assisting their employees in understanding the importance of long-term goals for the company and how they fit in that job process. Sometimes management is unclear or aware of new benefit procedures. Communication is somewhat of a lacking nature. Compensation is not the best especially as a telephone service representative and quality assurance representative as sometimes management can exploit cross-trained workers. Sometimes training is inefficient if opening a new account on short notice.
Advice to Senior Management
Choose management on a basis of skills and the potential to motivate employees rather than friendship. Make sure employees are periodically assessed with a test in order to make sure they understand what they are doing.
Pros
People go out of their wa y to help you in all regards. Work is challenging, always something new to work on. Management is a sharp bunch of individuals. Sr. Management recognition apparent when people do a good job.
Health benefits are excellent with relatively small bi-weekly payroll cost
Cons
Days can be long. Many people still in the office past 6:30 every night. Blackberry's are attached to most everyone making you accessible 24/7. Vacation is a little on the short side. Company doesn't observe 2-3 holidays that many other employers recognize. No employer retirement contribution to 401k.
Advice to Senior Management
Besides enhancing time off/retirement programs----NONE.
Pros
If you live in the area and need a job then at least you can work.
Cons
This is a Dead end job!
Advice to Senior Management
Base your decisions on production not who you like.
