ProsPride Industries works to promote finding jobs for persons with disabilities. It was great being a part of seeing how much people grew and how happy it made them to have a job.

ConsSome of Pride's associates have been with the company from the begining and have a hard time changing as the company has grown. They do not share thier knowledge either out of fear of being replaced or of having a superiority complex.

Advice to Senior ManagementProvide written procedures for every process.

Nice People to work with . Unprofessional and Irresponsible Bosses

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
Roseville, CA

I have been working at PRIDE Industries full-time for more than 10 years

ProsWorking with a group of really nice people and feeling like you make a difference

ConsWorking at Prides Auburn site where the manager bases decisions on her friend's opinion instead of on what really happens between coworkers. People are unfairly fired because the manager's friend does not like them or one of the counselors gets mad at them. People are written up based on the same gossip.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake a hard look at what is going on in auburn with the "lunch bunch."

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Great company

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at PRIDE Industries full-time

ProsA growing company with a great mission. Good benefits. A dynamic CEO who gets out of his office, and gets to know the employees. Many lines of business, many opportunities for diversity in business and people.

ConsEmployees at all levels at the corporate office need more support and recognition. Everyone is asked to do more, making little time, or culture, to create the leading-edge organization they strive to be. Too few kudos all around.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

A company which offers not only a job but also a chance to advance your education if you know where to look.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at PRIDE Industries

ProsThere is recognition in the work you do which I believe may encourage those to strive in doing their best. The company also offers ways to further your education by offering tuition assistance, class workshops, yearly events etc.

ConsSince this company does help hire a high percentage of people with disabilities, the workload is sometimes unevenly distributed among employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementI believe it would benefit everyone on all levels if supervisors who are hired, have some type of education background in how to deal with or communicate with persons with disabilities.
