    Pros

The mission to create jobs for people with disabilities is one of the best things about PRIDE. Everyone who works there seems to agree.

    Cons

The Company doesn't invest in employees the way it should. There are no merit increases in pay for good performance. No defined career path or structural support for a career path. Company culture is a mixture of those who have been with the company for a long time, and those who are newer to the Company, so there are the occasional culture clashes. Sr. Management decides strategy without communicating with key employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in training. Set money aside to provide real increases in compensation. Have some appreciation for the people who are working hard to keep the Company moving forward. Too many talented employees have to leave the Company because its like a treadmill to them. Why not create reasons for people to stay?

    Pros

Generally good at hiring people with sense. Not too hard to communicate with.

    Cons

Underbid contract by a lot. Worked tirelessly. Guy still there. No reasonable room for advancement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wrong supplies, too many assumptions, hard to tell people something is impossible. One supervisor liked me a lot, another two ok, dummy didn't. Maybe I don't know everything but I'm still trying to figure out how something that had me working 12 hours off the clock at as fast as possible was my fault when I heard that position took more than six months to fill.

    Pros

Pride Industries works to promote finding jobs for persons with disabilities. It was great being a part of seeing how much people grew and how happy it made them to have a job.

    Cons

Some of Pride's associates have been with the company from the begining and have a hard time changing as the company has grown. They do not share thier knowledge either out of fear of being replaced or of having a superiority complex.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide written procedures for every process.

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee in Roseville, CA

    Pros

Working with a group of really nice people and feeling like you make a difference

    Cons

Working at Prides Auburn site where the manager bases decisions on her friend's opinion instead of on what really happens between coworkers. People are unfairly fired because the manager's friend does not like them or one of the counselors gets mad at them. People are written up based on the same gossip.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a hard look at what is going on in auburn with the "lunch bunch."
