    How its like at PROTON

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsNice friendly environment, like working in a one big family.

ConsUninspiring prospect for either promotion or self development. Financial remuneration not really competitive. Going through a period of uncertainty due to a recent takeover may be demoralising.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe new management needs to engage the staffs more frequently and closely to rid them off negative and incorrect assumptions about the future direction of the company.

    Good stepping stone

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsProvide lots of training which is good for career development.
Lots of thing to learn especially in R&D division.
Good place for fresh graduate but definitely not good for long term if you pursue high salary in career.
    Friendly people and supportive environment

ConsVery hard to get promoted, politics everywhere.

Advice to Senior ManagementAsk us to do cost reduction, achieved target (millions) but never give compensation/bonus to person who work behind the scene, only promoted vcr group which their job is only compiling all cost reduction done by engineers and present to top management.not fair if you ask me.

One company that only care about making money for a few cronies

    Senior Manager (Former Employee)

ProsIt has a great team of engineers, who because of their limited prospect elsewhere have stayed in the company.

Cons1. A defragmented management system that not just create silos but also little napoleons
    2. Terrible HR policy with incompetent head who are clueless about recruitment. You will get better pay or position if you know someone higher up. HR Director post keeps changing and therefore there is no real change in the company recruitment policy.
    3. No one really accountable for the company's profit. it's the middle management who are facing tremendous pressure while the top management often don't care about profit and making mistakes after mistakes and unconcern about making profit.

Advice to Senior Managementthey should all be sack and the company close down
