    Pros

The company is growing rapidly, which leads to excellent advancement opportunity. To be fair, they're not just handing out promotions - it takes a bit of luck and a lot of effort to get noticed, but when you impress the right people you have plenty of chances to move up. I'm satisfied with PSAV and plan to stay with the company for the long term.

    Cons

With rapid growth comes some growing pains. Corporate support structure can lag behind the growth of field operations, and if an employee lacks patience they may not see opportunity on the horizon.

    Pros

If you want money then this is the place to be from January to May. After that they no longer need your help in the summer and then it is normal hours around September.

    Cons

This company lacks so many things. It is the biggest AV company in the world as far as supplying hotels however there is no substance or infrastructure for this company. Each director you work with does things completely different. It is all about who you know to be honest. The company is too cheap to pay employees once summer starts and you will be out of a job for months. Also, there is not much training involved here. Directors and other workers don't want to teach you anything because they feel you will learn the trade and start taking hours and business away from them. For a big company like this you would think it would be more structured as opposed to unorganized being the norm.

    Advice to Management

Management is different from hotel-to-hotel. This is why this company lacks consistency. SOP is just something they have just to say they have it. No one follows the rules unless something goes wrong then they judge based off of SOP. The pecking order goes as follows You>Director>HR>Hotel staff. In other words if the hotel your working at doesn't like you , they will have you booted immediately.

    Pros

There is room to grow, and its a field where if you don't know what you want to do in life, there are a lot of skills you can learn. Schedules are flexible, and working odd hours aka 5AM or 5PM is a norm. It's rarely a desk job, you will always be on your feet moving and grinding away.

    Cons

Work/life balance. If your boss doesn't have a life, they'll make sure you won't either. The pay isn't always equivalent to skill set.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees, make us care about being loyal.

The longer you are with the company, the more tired you become.

    Pros

I have been working at PSAV full time for about 6 months. For the most part it is steady work and I have learned valuable skills related to AV. There are clear opportunities for advancement if you know your stuff and are a people person. Good benefit package.

    Cons

Unpredictable schedule and hours, every week is completely different. Even as a full time employee I usually don't get 40 hours a week. 25-30 is normal. I don't receive my schedule until Friday so making plans for the weekend or travel is impossible. It is difficult to take time off for full time employees, part time hourly employees often get paid more and have a much more flexibility.

    Advice to Management

Find a way to make more regular schedules.

    Pros

Great training program with continued opportunity to train and learn new skills. Ability to relocate just about anywhere in the US.

    Cons

Mixed employee satisfaction, hotel location is a huge factor in day to day work environment. Not easy to climb the company ladder.

    Advice to Management

Need to provide more opportunities for regional employees to come together. Need to communicate with all employees on job and site satisfaction rather then communicating with the location director who very often is the primary problem.
