I worked at PUMA full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

It was a fun environment, filled with great coworkers. I loved this company, and would have stayed longer had the economy not tanked. Allotment is a great benefit too.

    Cons

The pay was less than spectacular and there was little room for upward mobility, unless you move to a separate store or have a degree.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would keep the culture and the customer driven experience.

    Good learning industry experience.

    Cons

Growth within company can be stifled depending on which department you work in/
Some lack of interest in personal growth of employees from upper management.

I worked at PUMA full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay and the people there were very understanding and supportive. You get 40% off on top of the sales that were already going on the in the store.

    Cons

The hours were rough some times getting out at 10pm or later. Working holidays and Black Fridays are very exhausting.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the good work

I have been working at PUMA part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The hours are very flexible and everyone that I have met higher up in the corporation are extremely nice and considerate of your needs.

    Cons

Each day you work you have to obtain you daily goals, which I really like, but on the days that you don't reach your goals can be let ya down.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The only advice I have is that many of our customers have to travel far to our store because they love our products but don't have any locations near by.

I worked at PUMA full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Nothing to write home about

    Cons

Confused about who they are, continually changing message and identity. Unprofesional field leadership team made up of people promoted too soon with no personal or professional maturity. Non value based company that creates an environment of distrust and inappropriate compromise.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make decisions and stick with his is not a popularity contest. It is a business that needs strong leadership and strategic decision making - Not games and friendships.

I have been working at PUMA part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I loved my co-workers and previous supervisors and manager. As a company, I don't really expect much from a retail store in terms of benefits and compensation, so them not offering much didn't surprise me. Co-workers were very friendly and helpful (at least my store was) and probably the only reason I worked there.

    Cons

Low-pay, no benefits, no room for growth, store manager head hunts outside rather than training existing workers who are more than capable to fulfill position. Favoritism between manager and certain employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Lead by example. Don't get angry or discipline employees while you yourself, don't even make your sales goals or kpi numbers.

    Cons

Upper and middle management. Director of stores and DM's are not suppotive and frequently are unwilling to listen to store to store needs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get better product in Concept Stores and much better quality in outlets.
