    Pros

Forward thinking business plans and focused on cost-efficient operational decisions. Committed to safe working practices and principles. Some great people to work with!

    Cons

Still experiencing some growing pains, coming from being non-existent through start-up stages and now almost fully operational with the current fleet of eight UDW drillships.

    Advice to Management

Maintain focus on putting the right people in the correct positions, and not to overgrow the head office support team beyond the point of full utilization.

Wonderful company, but HR department is lacking needed skills to keep employment turn-around at a minimum.

    Pros

Flex Hours, comp and benefits, cultural diversity,

    Cons

Very poor leadership. Corporate leadership does not treat employee's equally almost to the point of discrimination; High percentage of corporate employee's are not qualified to work for company and are grossly overpaid. High turnover rate at Pacific Drilling due to poor management, poor recruitment and no sense of family and work life balance.

    Pros

I would recommend Pacific Drilling to anyone who wants to work for a great company and be treated equally. Pacific pays really well and has great drilling rigs. Pacific has some of the best management in the oil field, who take care of the people who work for them.

    Cons

Since there a small company that pays a lot more than your average, the benefits aren't that great.

    Advice to Management

Advice I have to management is keep up the good work, always keep employees first and
Listen to what the rigs have to say. Pacific has really good rig managers, and that makes a huge difference on a rig. When the management respects every employee, and appreciates there effort a rig will be successful.

    Pros

To get good working experience on most recent UDW drilling vessel.

    Cons

Company has best UDW drilling vessels in he world. So it is good opportunity for those ones who never been working on such facilities. Pacific Drilling has good potential of growing and to become one of the best in this branch but only if something is changed in Supervisors selection.

    Advice to Management

Leadership is not doing its role at all. Blame policy is highly in use over there. Supervisor should work their part of job in order to minimize breakdowns and accidents. Few working persons are cowering tents Supervisors who have bad attitudes and even bigger egos.

    Pros

Pacific is a great company with top notch rig based employees that are very supportive of each other and good at their jobs.

    Cons

As their main field of operation is West Africa, travel in and out of the country is not the most pleasant experience!

    Advice to Management

Nice work. Pacific appears to be a well run small company ever improving. My advice to management is to keep it this way as your fleet increases.
