They are really nice when you start.
The leads they give you for the first months aren't really leads. Most of the people aren't home or don't know you're coming. The sales team sits around every morning till noon talking of how not to get a door slammed in the face. I would say we spent 70% of the time being drilled by macho desk jockeys on how to deal with a HOSTILE target. THEY ARE HOSTILE BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T MAKE An APPOINTMENT. SALES SUPPORT WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET THEIR LEAD QUOTA INCLUDING WASTE ALL OF YOUR GAS. So, it is a lot of driving for nothing. They will also hire ANYONE so that they can get the one sales guy who can get slapped in the face a million times and still persuade the customer to buy. So much fun to be around idiots like this who have consistently lowered the quality of human interaction for the rest of us. The cheesy sales guys of the world have migrated and made selling solar is the same as selling used cars.
Advice to Management
They are hopeless. Used car sales guys that have been doing it for 20 years. D. Cheney types who lie and lie and lie. But, they're really good at massaging the old ego and taking advantage so look out.
