Companies cash flow was an issues and because it was overly leveraged they could not hold on to some of the best employees during the recession

Former Employee - Manager (Former) in Chicago, IL

    Pros

    1. Peers are professional/capable
    2. Challenging/rewarding assignments
    3. Knowledge acquired through internal/external training
    4. Social/community involvement opportunities
    5. Company wide communication from senior mgmt (via regular conf calls/face-to-face mtgs)

    Cons

    1. Ability to sell firm's offerings could improve
    2. Interaction between various groups within the firm doesn't exist (i.e. Consulting Services, Strategy)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hold all employees accountable for their appointed responsibilities. For example, if the company is not selling, aggressively try to rectify that problem by determining why we are not selling (i.e. lack of appropriate selling experience, weakly defined practice offerings, outdated pricing structure for current economic conditions, no expansion into newer technologies)

    Pros

By far the people who are employed at Palladium are extremely smart and fantastic to work with. The internal support mechanisms for assistance on projects is far and away the best I have seen at any company I have worked for.

    Cons

Salaries are not as competitive with other consulting companies but the benefits outweigh that for the most part. The business development side of the company needs some help, in that the sales cycle is particularly long. This obviously ends up affecting the pipeline.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Once the client needs begin come ahead of the consultants' who are on the project, this will start to affect not only the project health by the well being of the individual.
