I have been working at Palms Casino Resort full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Great employees who have been there for a long time and care about the place....for now. Hourly pay is actually great but if you rely on tips, avoid this place.

    Cons

Lack of business which can be attributed to executive management's decisions to open venues that do nothing to help the place recover and retain customer base. There is great space that s wasted!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have a vision and share it with employees. Do some research before making decisions and make real-world choices that will have impact on your business in a positive way. Remember, this is not only your world, hundreds of employees count on you to keep business in-house so the can make a living or at least maintain their current standard of living. Devise a way to MAKE money instead of having to SAVE money!!!

I worked at Palms Casino Resort full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The scenery of young beautiful ladies was good.

    Cons

Their equipment such as the player rating system was ignorantly primitive and their helps hall was a long walk and definitely not worth it!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think that they have improved since I fell out of there. Certainly hope so for their casino floor people.

I have been working at Palms Casino Resort

    Pros

    Pay is not bad.
    Vacation time is good.
    Mid-level management good.
    Getting time off is easy.
    Direct contact with owner.

    Cons

New management does not care about employees.
Very cutthroat attitude from upper management.
NO communication with middle management or front line employees.
    Horrendous morale among employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't hide in the executive offices away from your employees. You also might try talking to your employees and ask them for their input, since they are more connected to the guests than you are.

I have been working at Palms Casino Resort

    Pros

The pay and benefits are good.

    Cons

Lack of recognition, zero opportunity to move up. The department has not promoted someone in nine years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The Palms needs to treat team members with respect. The owner George Maloof would be very disappointed with his managment, if he knew how badly they talk about the company and him.
