Pros
Company name recognition, big parking lot
Cons
Low Moral, no innovation, old way of thinking
Advice to Senior Management
Hire younger and prepare for new generation
Pros
The sense of accomplishment is tremendous once you finish a major project such as the quarterly IT show in town
Cons
Recognition and salary bonuses are paltry; the place is focused very much on getting work done and reporting to management swiftly
Advice to Senior Management
More recognition can be provided to junior staff; do not neglect the efforts of the foot soldiers digging the trenches
Pros
-Learned a great deal about my position in the time I was there
-Opportunity for travel through work commitments
-Ability to meet many different people with diverse personal and professional backgrounds
-Intelligence and work ethic are respected and valued
-Getting to go to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas
Cons
-Terrible work-life balance (although when reminded to do so, my manager respected our need for time away from work)
-Lack of job security
-Upper management was really big on shaming all of us for poor sales numbers (I wasn't in sales)
Advice to Senior Management
Happier employees will produce better results. My department valued my contributions to the team while I was employed, and despite the low morale throughout the company, I view my time there as generally positive for me.
Pros
Very Human.
Great lab to learn new technologies.
Cons
A little lag behind the change of the market.
Advice to Senior Management
Catch up with the changing market and respond more quickly.
Pros
good welfare includes transportation and food services, co- workers are willing to help you if you need a help in your job.
Cons
comparatively low salary with others similar companies in areas, have to oblige the rules and regulation of company , cannot have your own ideas.
Advice to Senior Management
keep it up and treat fairly to all the workers without regarding the job position, let the workers having the chances to develop themselves.
Pros
Good Brand name and company image
Everything is very systematic
Multinational staff (asean)
Cons
Alot of hieracy
Always a top down apprasial approach, if boss is biased, you're done for.
Slow and not open to new approaches
Advice to Senior Management
Top management has good intentions but the middle management needs to commit to these intentions. They need to listen more rather than dictate.
Pros
Ability to work from home, interact with a different culture, opportunities to move within the company
Cons
Severely understaffed, power struggles between Japan and US sales units, poor long term planning, hard to advance in the company
Advice to Senior Management
If you hire more people, we'd become far more productive and wouldn't have to be so reactionary.
Pros
If you are desperate for a paycheck
Cons
Company is top heavy; management takes care of management; support staff is not adequately rewarded or recognized for contributions despite very poorly handled layoffs over the past few years. Top management has promoted a select few who are not qualified for the appointments that come with many upper level perks and privileges. Employees are not adequately or fairly rewarded for their contributions.
Advice to Senior Management
Stop promoting your buddies and recognize the workers who are carrying the company! There are too many Audis in the parking lot.
Pros
independently excellent ability of systematical management
Cons
less responsibility personality lack of leadership
Pros
The working environment is quite friendly, and you have flexibility to schedule you work as long as things are done in time and with quality.
Cons
The pay and benefit are around average in the industry. Sometimes the communications between USA and Japan take time and affect schedules.
