    I worked at Panavision

    Pros

Legacy employees who've seen Panavision grow and evolve throughout the years and the contributions they've made.

    Cons

Good 'ol boys mentality. Below standard performance and behavior tolerated. Pay practices below scale (unless you're senior management).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Panavision

    Pros

Panavision is the premier company when it comes to cinematography and the technology of shooting movies. There are some wonderfully talented people there and an amassing amount of history.

    Cons

This is a big company and a lot of "not invented here." Change does not happen fast. The company is struggling due to the labor and finance issues in the motion picture industry. Everyone is on pinns and needles as we have had some waves of lay offs.

The company has just changed leadership and there is more than the usual amount of nobody knowing what is happening next. Internal communication and strategic leadership is currently non existent and morale is low.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Innovate your way out of a declining business model.

Former Employee - Rental Coordinator in Vancouver, BC (Canada)

I worked at Panavision full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Great opportunity for anyone wanting to learn about motion picture cameras and equipment. Great opportunity to meet and get connected with working camera assistants and directors of photography, in order to network.

    Cons

Unless you're prepared to spend 15-20 years of unappreciated hard work to be considered for upward corporate movement, and an upper management attitude of "we don't have titles" in order to skirt paying an equitable wage, then learn what you can and move on.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your company is represented by the good relationship developed by your people on the ground, show some appreciation for that.
