Pros
due to the crisis, there is no other career opportunities
Cons
all lies and more lies.
bad payers
poor managers
bad management
crooks and gangsters
the worst company I've worked with
if you do not belong to the mafia group, you are considered rebels, and you are lost.
Advice to Senior Management
controlled and eliminated, the people you put in charge of the company, are building an image that will cost you much to recover. The competition is aware about that
Pros
The only good thing about Panduit is some of the people that work there - NOT upper management! Over 15 years with this company, and I can whole heartedly say this place is NOT the place I started. When 'daddy' Caveney ran it, a person was a person. Not true anymore, and getting worse by the day...
Cons
Every benefit we used to have has been taken away, or drastically cut so that they might as well have taken all of it. Hey guys, what happened to the statement "Panduit doesn't place blame" that's in the training material???? Thats all they do is look to blame someone for something. Moral is so low. Upper management only wants you to work faster, harder, meet that next goal... For what?? Throughout this whole economic crysis, Panduit has GROWN as a conpany - yet they have taken advantage of the situation by stripping its employees of their benefits. They even took away our EARNED vacation time, and are now making us re-earn it. What's that old saying about getting blood out of turnip??? Yet they turn around and spend millions upon millions on a new corp. headquarters - I don't get it. Its sad to say I dread coming into work every day. Its even worse to know its only getting worse as those days go by.
Advice to Senior Management
Wake up - stop overthinking. Fix problems, stop creating more! Treat people like they matter - isn't that how YOU expect to be treated? Make rules that apply to everyone. Be human enough to know that there ARE situations that come up in people's lives that exceptions SHOULD be made. You catch more bees with honey - doesn't it stand to reason that if you create good working conditions, you'd get more work out of your workers???
Pros
People (non management of course). No longer work there. Benefits. Not really too many good reasons to work there i suppose.
Cons
Management, lack of professional job growth, attitude of management towards employees, no communication, overall disrespect of their employees. HR has no clue what's going on and when confronted with questions will lie to you every time. No smoking on off shifts!!!
Advice to Senior Management
Treat your people like human beings, not robots. Keep jobs in this country, not everything in life is about money. I honestly don't know how you people can sleep at night.
Pros
Close to home
Nice new building
Some good people to work with
Cons
Micromanagers rampant
Excessive lay-offs
Spending way too much money on corporate headquarters and parties rather than retaining staff
Very limited resources to help you get the job done
Uncertainty about being bought out by another company
Many bitter, unhappy people who work here
Poor reputation in the area and industry
Any job here sucks the life out of you
Advice to Senior Management
It's too late to work on the things above - just sell the company already
Pros
Good location - new headquarters is beautiful. Health and dental benefits. Great exercise program (walking from the parking lot to the front door), free parking, clean air, windows. Wellness program is a plus.
Cons
Many cons -- benefit package is not competitive, salaries are not great, workload and stress is panormous. Lack of leadership, lack of cohesiveness within departments. Don't like the layoffs and the job insecurity.
Advice to Senior Management
With the exception of one or two of you, you should all resign. You are not leaders or motivators. Why the owner of the company handled the keys of the kingdom over to you is beyond comprehension. Please look up the word, Karma, in the dictionary.
Pros
15 years ago it was a great place to work. Hard work was rewarded with promotions and pay increases. Benefits were good, vacation and sick time a little above average for the area.
The management was fair and reasonable.
Cons
Over the last 10 years, upper and middle management has been replaced, now it is all about the money. No matter how unreasonable a goal is, it must be made at all costs. The management theme is "Failure is not an option". Instead of seeking a solution to a problem, some one must be blamed, and will be remembered at review time.
Advice to Senior Management
wake up, employee's are people. You cannot beat them up everyday and expect loyality.
Pros
Good way to learn job skills, because you had to do way mare than your job description was.
Great people to work with (non-managment)
Good Pizza.
Cons
No respect for the older or the worker who made the most effort.
Selling out all of the employees for the mighty dollar.
No 401k
No Jobs for many
Advice to Senior Management
This company is very top headed and there is no fix for dishonesty
Pros
We have a nice building, nice cafeteria. The food is pretty good. Most of the people are friendly. I get to smoke on the public sidewalk and no one gives me grief. Company offers health insurance. We have popcorn days and cotton candy days and they are fun. Glad we have dental insurance.
Cons
Morale is low and production is down. Employees don't seem to be able to transfer around like they used to -- it is kind of the other way around now. Company has changed. The job is okay for now but don't think I will be there long term.
Advice to Senior Management
Empower us and give us credit for doing a good job. My manager takes credit for my good ideas and there is nothing I can do about it. Management seems to protect each others' backs - you know - kinda like Jesse James did for Sandra Bullock......hmmmmm - right.....
Pros
Close to home. Panduit is fair. Every employee gets it shoved up their backside. Eventually everyone gets a turn
Cons
Compensation is low. Benefits are low. Raises are low. Insurance is high. Some years the raises don't cover the increase in our insurance premium. Too many secrets.
Advice to Senior Management
Sell!! Panduit will never become the world class company it claims it is, until it goes public and has to answer to shareholders.
Pros
At least you get paid and there is a place for you to work until you find a new job
Cons
Bad office environment, bad working attitude and no leadership. Everyone is looking for new opportunity outside and pretend they are loyal to the company
Advice to Senior Management
Be kind to your employee and show your leadership. Encourage team work and show your appreciation sometime. Change the blame culture will help a lot
