Pros
The drive for success is exciting and contagious
Cons
Institutional patronage issues weigh heavily on the employees and their work ethics.
Advice to Senior Management
Don't throw good money after bad with complicated processes and bureaucracy. Simplify systems and processes. Acheive trust of emolyees through transparency, equality and equity, simple messages, and visionary leadership.
Pros
The Pay is pretty good
Cons
most of management does not know what goes on in warehouse,
Management doesnt care about anyone but themselves,
a person to holds a production rate of 190% is treated no better than someone who holds a rate of 100% and receives the same raise.
all promotions are given by senority, not experience. 180 employees, 11 2nd and 3rd level positions.
Advice to Senior Management
none because they wouldnt listen.
Pros
Great quality products
Nice building
Some of the people are really nice
Suburban location
There is nothing else positive to say about this company
Cons
Terrible work environment
Lack of accountability and responsibility
Pay could be higher
Everything shrouded in secrecy
Disrespect from management
Cannot retain employees
Blatant favoritism and nepotism
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to employees. Morale is extremely low and people are miserable. Many seasoned veterans are quitting for a reason. The Panduit name is slipping in the industry. Stop treating employees like numbers and trying to rule by fear and intimidation. Pretty soon poor decisions will catch up.
Pros
Free parking, free water, health care, cafeteria, good location. The new building is better than the previous location. Some Flex-time - depending on your department and staffing.
Cons
There is no communication. The managers treat the underlings like garbage. There are always secret meetings. There is a huge fear factor of losing your job, even though you really don't want to work there but have bills to pay. It is depressing. The stress is Panormous and has taken a toll on my health. Employees/departments are purposely baited against one another.
Advice to Senior Management
Please stop running the company like it was the tv show "Game of Thrones". You are not kings; you are merely people in power. Remember that somebody has to do the work - you all are in meetings all day cooking up some new idea to mess with our heads - you think that will improve morale and productivity - well, it doesn't.
Pros
Good opportunity to gain diverse experience
Used to be a good, fun place to work - work hard play hard together
The folks along side you in trenches are good people
Cons
Politics and vendettas prevent the executive team from empowering the people to execute
Let's have a strategy session to define our objectives for the year and end with 18 things to do that we will only execute halfway. They read all the how to books and ignore what they say.
Doing more with less is getting real old. You can't keep dumping more responsibility on upper/middle managers and call it a lateral responsibly change with no salary increase. The economy is turning, head hunters are calling folks will be leaving like rats off a sinking ship.
Advice to Senior Management
To Top Management: Stop sniping at each other, pick a target strategy and get it done. R&D out to get Marketing. Group VPs fight with R&D; Division strategies support plans to out do marketing. Can't you all just get along. You talk about collaboration and teamwork but you can't stop cutting each other down and get to a common goal. Grow Up!!
Pros
Panduit has a good benefits package and has a new corporate center to work in.
Cons
Communication with upper management is poor. Do not think and apply yourself at Panduit, do everything as told and you may survive.
Advice to Senior Management
When the economy comes back how will you meet the need for new skilled employees considering the word on the street is that Panduit is not a friendly place to work?
Pros
Nice facility
Parking available
onsite cafeteria
There is nothing else I can say positive
Cons
Over worked.
Unreasonable expectations
Not organized
Brown nosing
Not flexible
Secretive
Sneaky
Advice to Senior Management
Stop treating employees like babies, and over working with unreasonable expectations
Pros
A growing company with many new products and is offering jobs to the displaced workers. I am proud that Panduit is changing for the better and realizing that people drive the manufacturing processes that produce quality producrts.
Cons
The past two years have been tough for everyone. Look around, the world is changing rapidly. They have been a command and control culture.
Advice to Senior Management
Lighten up a little, listen to your people.
Pros
Free parking, good location, very nice new building, a number of great people to work with.
Cons
Little to no respect for people who have been loyal employees for more than 10 years. Broken promises for promotions, training, development. Too many ongoing changes. Ideas stolen by others and presented as their own. Teamwork has all but disappeared. Too political.
Advice to Senior Management
Look and see you still have many wonderful and talented people who have earned promotions and respect. Try promoting more from within instead of going outside for seemingly everything. You are trying to communicate more which is good and appreciated. Please add actions to your words of development and training and long term success for your employees.
Pros
Badge allows you to come and go as you please. Great pay.
Cons
Many angry people in this world and at Panduit.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up the good work and spread the money to all.
