Pros
They make some good products. If you stay off the radar and have no ambition you may be ok for a while.
Cons
Nepotism is endemic to this family-owned/run business. The closer you get to senior management, the worse off you will be.
Pros
for a person who has fallen into the trap of working in this company is tnener wages and work, but nothing else, the competition does not value us at all
Cons
bad management
bad company
lack of respect for employees
lack of consideration
contempt for the experience
failure of all
breach of agreements
impossible to be promoted if you do not accept the group
lack of recognition
Advice to Senior Management
Get rid of the old and historic Managers and VP team globally, are doing much harm to the company and the customers, they do not want to see us last
Pros
Panduit is a privately held company that cares about the well-being of its workforce as much as its profits.
Cons
Salaries could be higher (especially for engineers)
Advice to Senior Management
Be more aggressive with expansion into foreign markets.
Pros
reputable organization within the industry, although we are losing that image as our customer service and delivery continue to slip, very good product quality
Cons
lots of bureacracy, no respect towards sales department from upper management, more time spent on CRM system and less time spent on actual productive activities--lots of pipeline fiction
Advice to Senior Management
get rid of the roadblocks to actually doing our jobs--spend less time on non-value activities such as reporting, administrative roadblocks and triplicate paperwork
Pros
Good opportunity to gain diverse experience
Used to be a good, fun place to work - work hard play hard together
The folks along side you in trenches are good people
Cons
Politics and vendettas prevent the executive team from empowering the people to execute
Let's have a strategy session to define our objectives for the year and end with 18 things to do that we will only execute halfway. They read all the how to books and ignore what they say.
Doing more with less is getting real old. You can't keep dumping more responsibility on upper/middle managers and call it a lateral responsibly change with no salary increase. The economy is turning, head hunters are calling folks will be leaving like rats off a sinking ship.
Advice to Senior Management
To Top Management: Stop sniping at each other, pick a target strategy and get it done. R&D out to get Marketing. Group VPs fight with R&D; Division strategies support plans to out do marketing. Can't you all just get along. You talk about collaboration and teamwork but you can't stop cutting each other down and get to a common goal. Grow Up!!
Pros
Panduit has a good benefits package and has a new corporate center to work in.
Cons
Communication with upper management is poor. Do not think and apply yourself at Panduit, do everything as told and you may survive.
Advice to Senior Management
When the economy comes back how will you meet the need for new skilled employees considering the word on the street is that Panduit is not a friendly place to work?
Pros
Outstanding colleagues ensure a vibrant team to work within, although achieving and surpassing ones targets does not get the acknowledgement that one would have thought one deserved....
Cons
Lack of management understanding what it is actually like at the sharp end of the stick....they have forgoten what it is like to sell....the only Panduit senior manageent individual who seemed to have any empathy was a Mr Schraeger who I'm led to beleive had been a Panduit saleman in the past...strange that a lot of senior management forget that even though visiting MD's is great they do not allways hold the purse strings....
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to your sales people, they have a better and more grassroots understanding of how hard it is out there at the minute....less of the corporate speak mumbo jumbo and self justification and understand that the pressure you place us under is extremely detrimental and non-conducive to a healthy working environment...you get more out of an anial with love that hitting it with a big stick.....
Pros
Nice facility
Parking available
onsite cafeteria
There is nothing else I can say positive
Cons
Over worked.
Unreasonable expectations
Not organized
Brown nosing
Not flexible
Secretive
Sneaky
Advice to Senior Management
Stop treating employees like babies, and over working with unreasonable expectations
Pros
The drive for success is exciting and contagious
Cons
Institutional patronage issues weigh heavily on the employees and their work ethics.
Advice to Senior Management
Don't throw good money after bad with complicated processes and bureaucracy. Simplify systems and processes. Acheive trust of emolyees through transparency, equality and equity, simple messages, and visionary leadership.
Pros
A growing company with many new products and is offering jobs to the displaced workers. I am proud that Panduit is changing for the better and realizing that people drive the manufacturing processes that produce quality producrts.
Cons
The past two years have been tough for everyone. Look around, the world is changing rapidly. They have been a command and control culture.
Advice to Senior Management
Lighten up a little, listen to your people.
