Pros
Free parking, good location, very nice new building, a number of great people to work with.
Cons
Little to no respect for people who have been loyal employees for more than 10 years. Broken promises for promotions, training, development. Too many ongoing changes. Ideas stolen by others and presented as their own. Teamwork has all but disappeared. Too political.
Advice to Senior Management
Look and see you still have many wonderful and talented people who have earned promotions and respect. Try promoting more from within instead of going outside for seemingly everything. You are trying to communicate more which is good and appreciated. Please add actions to your words of development and training and long term success for your employees.
Pros
Badge allows you to come and go as you please. Great pay.
Cons
Many angry people in this world and at Panduit.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up the good work and spread the money to all.
Pros
free parking- dedicated production employees like I have never seen anywhere else of employment, good location for employment and commute
Cons
low level employees are not respected , politics ,favoritism on reviews and advancement is common
knowledge and accepted by upper management and the older employees are being swept out the door.
Advice to Senior Management
Your Crew classes worked ,your toyota classes worked perhaps too good. Listen to your low level dedicated employees and maybe together you can save hundreds more jobs from being sent
out of our Country.
Pros
Company tries to provide decent benefits.
Cons
Upper management assumes underlings are inferior and stupid.
Advice to Senior Management
Don't ask for input to raise morale. That's shallow and transparent.
Pros
Decent benefits
Ok pay
Close to home
Nice new building to work in
Cons
No room for advancement
No dollars spent on technical training to keep IT knowledge up to date
Lack of recognition
Leader who plays favorites and does not value who works for her - not respected by most of the IT employees
Dread coming to work every day
Advice to Senior Management
Improve leadership, training, and opportunities for advancement
Pros
-It's a good SHORT TERM job
-The pay is good
-Another thing I like about Panduit is that it's like the "scared straight" program. Once you are there for awhile it makes you want to go back to school and try to improve yourself.
Cons
-Too "political"
-Hard to advance / losing too many good employees
-Management makes too many bad decisions
-No acknowledgement
-Extremely low morale
Advice to Senior Management
Promotions are often given to "buddies" instead of the best employee for the job, which in-turn has created this poorly run company. Panduit is too complacent with it's short term "success" and will never grow in the market until it make better, smart business decisions.
Pros
Great product, best in class
Cons
No Career, prospects, pay rises. Bonusses not achieveable
Advice to Senior Management
Manage the people better, give us a reason to want to stay.
Pros
Pay is okay, financially stable company, will be better if the family sells the company and there is a complete overhaul of the mgt team.
Cons
Annaul performance review system is awful, with a large the raise being 3% and the average raise between1-2%. Clocking in and out is an indication of how much management trust the employees. Video cameras everywhere in the building to keep track of where you go and what you do.
Advice to Senior Management
Management should be put on short term contracts. If they are unable to manage the facilities then someone could be brought in to do the job.
Pros
Good Bonus Structure, Good Profit Sharing, 401k Match, No Time Clock at This Level, No Reduced Benefits
Cons
Complaints From Employees, In This Economy, We should All Be Happy To Have A Job
Advice to Senior Management
Keep On Doing What We Are Doing
Pros
Good benefits, a check every week, a CAFE on site! I do enjoy being told how to vote via the OWNER - during the last election cycle.
Cons
Management, management, and did I mention Management. You need to be a Engineer to have a voice. Carpet Land is where it all happens ( the brain trust ). The general production person has little or no say on how they are told to do things. A great place to retire from, because many plants are closing here in the US. Costa Rica and Mexico have taken the bulk of jobs and we are now going LEAN........ I'm not sure how much leaner a company can go. Work is being done by people who never know what the next day holds. I have been told by the old timers that it "ONCE" was a great company to work for when the old man ran it. But , that was then - today it is being ran well enough to be sold as soon as the old man passes. Too Bad. Get English as a first language and lose the non value added titles.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to the people who do the job, quit listening to people how are blowing sunshine. Also, quit playing the employees as fools. We see our jobs being moved.
