I have been working at Panduit full-time

    Pros

The company seems to be making the right steps to improve the environment. Good work - life balance.

    Cons

Management uses out-dated management practices, mircro manages too much, does absolutely nothing of value, and thinks more highly of themselves than they deserve. No one will ever listen to you. HR runs you around as well. The company would benefit from bringing in new management from outside.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop telling and start listening to your employees. There are a lot of really good ideas out there. Stop the favortism and start enforcing all the rules not just the ones you want to.

I have been working at Panduit full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Panduit is world class in many ways, and they have a track record of great financial success. Job security is probably the best reason to work here. They have a pretty strong benefits package and they are not going to go bankrupt.

    Cons

The company is privately owned, and the founder was a raving madman, totally obsessed with growing the company. He literally would ask for updates from everyone in the family on their respective business units at THANKSGIVING DINNER. This company has an incredible lack of people management skills. It's almost shocking how poorly the managers treat their employees. The one bright spot in the company is the HR group, where they tirelessly work to try and transform the company and bring it into the 21st century. Unfortunately, most of them grow so frustrated and exhausted by fruitless efforts that they end up leaving prior to any real change happening.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Replace senior leadership, and bring the company to the present day.

    Cons

Job security, used to be a company concerned for the people, but now it seems like they just want to get manufacturing out of the country.

I have been working at Panduit full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Decent pay for the fairly relaxed environment, flex time, average vacation accrual. 401K. Never force overtime. Fairly easy to move between shifts because of the high turnover rate.

    Cons

After some time almost everyone falls into this pit of hating your job. The warehouse does not have an upbeat environment/culture in any way shape or form. Many times you will ask your foreman a question and they will answer you in a condescending manner or give you the answer that will just get you out of your office, not fix the problem, it gets frustrating,

    Great at first....

    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Panduit

    Pros

Most of my co-workers(the ones who aren't afraid of hard work)...the foremen from first shift.

    Cons

The equipment we have are old and constantly breaking down, conveyors system needs an update, upper management needs to be more involved, using paid sick days and getting punished for using our paid sick days, the BRAVO system is a joke when it comes to the lower warehouse workers(it's not hard "Thanking" a co-worker for helping out in person), sometimes it feels like I'm back in high school with the favoritism game being played, no room for advancement......

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

We should get rid of the BRAVO system and come up with a new system that will make us lower warehouse worker feel appreciated. We shouldn't get punished for taking our paid sick days.
