    Pros

Excellent coworkers- they look out for each other, and the atmosphere was nearly always a pleasant one. Training was positive, and store meetings were optimistic and fun in nature. The schedule was never too rough, and we were rarely short-handed.

    Cons

Some managers get a bit short sighted- sometimes we would wait 15-30 minutes for the closing manager to check the line so we could leave for the night. Once I got a rather gruesome burn on my arm from the walk in oven door, and was told to slap a bandage on it and get back on the line, despite being in a great deal of pain- another girl experienced the same kind of situation, where she was in enough pain due to a health condition that she was in tears, and she was told to get back on the line despite the rest of us saying we could handle things just fine if she went home.

    Advice to Management

Remember that the employees are people, and sometimes people can't be a perfect machine. Having a bit of compassion will not sink the franchise, and you'll end up with a loyal, dedicated group of people who've got your back.

    Pros

Promoting a good quality, healthy product is easy to sell and serve. Each employee believes in the quality and freshness of the products.
It was a pleasure to work for them.

    Cons

One down side is a non set schedule the changes weekly. We have no more that three days to plan our next week and that can be troublesome when trying to run an outside life as well.

    Advice to Management

If possible, please post schedules two weeks in advance.
Please provide adequate training for the "newcomer"

    Pros

Mostly good management, 65% discount, free food. They do parties when new foods come out, and my location celebrated birthdays at the parties too.

    Cons

Some managers will take advantage of you, if you are a good worker to compensate for the bad workers.

    Advice to Management

Don't over work the good workers. You will run them away.

    Pros

--One of the few places willing to hire high school students for summer help.
    --Low-stress, easy to learn.
    --A not particularly complex menu.
--Food discounts are benefit (65% off while on shift, 50% off otherwise).

    Cons

--While it worked extremely well as a summer job for students en route to college, the staff at Panera thinking of a more long-term position did not appear to enjoy their jobs as much.

    Pros

For a 20 year old going through college this job was flexible and did a great job supplementing my income.
    Lots of coworkers my age
The job is easy with lots of great people

    Cons

Managers can be dicks especially the farther you go up, I was refused a letter of recommendation because they said technically they can say anything about previous employees. I had to contact HR before they would agree and give me one.

    Pros

Employees are funny enjoyable to work with. Jobs aren't really hard like most other jobs. Management is please to work with for the most part.

    Cons

Not everyone pulls their weight there are a lot of slackers that do their job to the bare minimum if that.

    Advice to Management

Would be better if everyone pulled their weight more.
