    Pros

Flexible scheduling, fair management, and good employment atmosphere. This employer is kind enough to work around students school schedule which is a big plus for all who are pursing a degree and need a place to make a few extra bucks. Also, its great to see a diverse group of multiple ethnicities work together.

    Cons

New employees tens to be looked down on by the senior employees. Management should treat everyone the same.

    Advice to Management

Fairly well managed. Most of the management has been with the company well over 6-10 years. Just make sure every employee gets the same treatment.

    Pros

Free bread and pastries at close, meal discount

    Pros

It is a great feeling to work for a company who cares so much about giving back, integrity, and creating a positive and happy environment. While it is a chain, there are many loyal customers who come to Panera every day. The company stresses to build relationships with customers and make sure employees are doing anything and everything to make the customer happy.

    Cons

Pay is not that great. There is also sometimes a lack of guidance and organization while at work. I would say that organization is the weakest part.

    Advice to Management

Some advice to management would be to have a longer training process where new employees are not only trained at the start of their time, but throughout the starting time.

    Pros

Great job for a teenager or someone looking for a flexible hours. Panera bread is a really fun family atmosphere for employees and customers. The experience and training I received at panera prepped me for a better paying job with more responsibility

    Cons

If you're not a manager for panera you're really not making money.

    Advice to Management

    Work smart not hard

I have been working at Panera Bread part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

You get great discounts, very warm enviroment and detailed training

    Cons

You are assigned to a certain place such as dinning, cashier, line. Everyone starts at dinning and it is the most tiring thing. Teenagers who can work after school will usually get a 4-9:30 shift. However, I have never once seen anyone or myself get out at that time. Dinning especially is hard because you have a million tasks for one person, especially with close. I've always gotten out around 10 and wore out afterwards. Register is less stressful but I only got two days of training and ended up messing a few orders and got yelled at my first day and every customer will complain. I even had to cut back on hours because my manager had me working thurs-Monday and closing each night. At first the job seems exciting but everyone hates it, especially since the pay is minimum wage. It has the potential to be a great job but can be very repetitive and if your location is large and popular, it'll be much more stressful.

    Advice to Management

Help out people when they are behind, schedule them on days they can work.

    Pros

Great customers, good food, flexible hours

    Cons

I am a cashier and enjoy my position. I can see how they fall short in other areas of the cafe with lack of communication.
Pay is pretty bsd, only working here as some added income/fun money in addition to my other job.
    No tip jar!

    Advice to Management

Consider a tip jar. Customers try and anf tip often and we should br allowed to collect tips in addition to our low pay because we work hard!
