    Pros

Ability to learn new things every day for those who are willing, and is fairly easy to do so if you show interest.

    Cons

Managment styles vary greatly by store and location, and some mangment will not be as willing to work with you simply from face-value. They will keep you on hand and on staff "just in case", but will rarely let you show your full abilities unless they're in need, or simply don't feel like being there.

    Advice to Management

Communicate with your employee's; that means drivers AND insiders.

    Pros

Even if you're a slow driver, in most areas you can average about $8-10 an hour in only tips.
    Daily cash
Freedom. Most managers are cool with you stopping to grab food while you're out, etc.

    Cons

Gas gets expensive, especially when you get busy. On a very busy night in Indianapolis, I drove about 80 miles that night, and averaged about 15mpg. So thats nearly 6 gallons at $3/ gal. I made about $100, but had to spend almost $20 in gas. Just keep that in mind.

In order to keep up with delivery times, and customer satisfaction, it's not uncommon for managers to schedule too many drivers. The stores numbers stay within reason, but there are often times where 4-5 drivers are waiting for deliveries. That doesn't make for a very lucrative night.

    Advice to Management

Find a good balance between how many drivers are scheduled vs how busy you are. Don't be afraid to send someone home. Have faith in your good drivers to keep your numbers up. Remember, they're making more money, and that gives them the drive to get back to the store to take out more.

    Pros

The job was very laid back and easy. I was made a manager within two weeks. The pay is minimum wage until i became manager then it was raised to 8.25

    Cons

The pay wasn't that great considering I did more and had way more responsibilities than other who i was getting paid the same as. and no benefits

    Advice to Management

They should pay according to quality of work, not job title

    Pros

papa Johns is a familiar name, and they frequent customers. Easy work.

    Cons

not a lot of accountability by management. They don' t recognize talent to move up. No pay raises for drivers and no shift premium for working late hours into the night.

    Advice to Management

train the drivers on how to do side work. Many times this is their first job and don't know how to do it correctly or care. In many cases, the cleanliness would shut a rest. Down in other states.

    Pros

Day-to-day work not challenging, good healthcare benefits, and high potential income

    Cons

Tips are unpredictable, often overstaffed, have to work in rain, snow, etc.

    Advice to Management

Only schedule just enough drivers so that everyone can make the money they need. If there are six people waiting for a delivery, then you have too many drivers on duty.

    Pros

Lucky days have really good pay. If you have no job, and want a job that's not extremely demanding, and can have some decent pay sometimes, or want a job that's about moving up the ladder, go for it.

    Cons

Unlucky days have really really pad pay. 4.25 while driving, minimum wage while in store. If you don't get the nice shifts(you won't) you'll be in store at least half the time (minimum wage). And during the day, people tip much less. Prepare to get stiffed, while making 4.25 an hour. The hours you get are NEVER consistent, the days you work are never the same, they never let you go on time, sometimes way over somtimes way early, making 40 hours a week is impossible, unless people bail on shifts and then you have to work an extra 6-8 hours on that day.

    Advice to Management

Nature of the buisness demands it be the way it is. They don't want to pay for useless employees, so someone's gota come in for a few hours, and leave for a few later and come back, or just have 2 people come in for 4 hours each day. It's not exactly their fault, and most of their managers are decent people so don't get me wrong! Not harshing on them at all.

    Pros

When the store gets busy it can be a fun fast paced environment. Also able to work up to driver if you'd like.

    Cons

Hours can be scarce. It is a pizza place so there aren't a ton of hours available if you are a part time employee.

    Advice to Management

Nothing specific for management at this time.
