    Pros

Fun people, fun job, mostly good customers

    Cons

Physical labor, corporate making big changes at once that both employees and customers are not happy about

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't change a good thing. They should either ask their employees what to do or actually work in a store for a week and see how it is

I worked at Papa Murphys full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    The job isn't difficult
    Co-workers are usually fun
    Good for students

    Cons

    New ownership happens frequently
New owners often make the transition difficult on current employees
    Sometimes dealing with picky/rude people

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train owners better instead of just selling 'the dream' so that they are useful and understand how the business works instead of confused, alone, stressed and in the way of the experienced staff.

I have been working at Papa Murphys full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great for Kids, Great place to make life long connections, Good first job.

    Cons

The corporation is more fixated on how little they can pay out, than they are on how profitable they can be. They have no sense of employee retention. and instead of terminating, they suspend you for two weeks, sometimes without proper reasoning, and hand you your final check on your first day back. really not a good place to advance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your store managers adequately. Also, nobody should be running a company store individually. Pay out the bonuses promised to managers. don't tell your subordinates to "Figure it out" when they tell you they have worked 70 hours on an accounted 35 hour week.

    Cons

    no growth
cheap owner, cut corners, did not turn on a/c
    treated employees bad
    everything depends on your owner

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Screen your owners better to ensure they are managing stores correctly and not shaming your company

I have been working at Papa Murphys part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The coworkers are like family and it's a fun to interact with customers. The day goes by pretty quickly when your busy

    Cons

There's not much room for advancement, once you become a shift leader there's nothing more you can achieve. You only get one or two raises in a year and both were very minimum

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Training is fast and easy, but if you don't catch on within the first month they consider letting you go.

I worked at Papa Murphys full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

No fryers, early mornings or late nights. Easy work.

    Cons

No communication, training, raises, breaks,.. keep adding new items and cutting back on staff. No respect. Very greedy owners.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management needs to listen and respect their employees. Properly communicate 1 correct answer not 3 different answers to the same topic. Corporate needs to start asking feedback from the staff that's in the fields. Not the franchisees, owner group.

I worked at Papa Murphys part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Really flexible schedule that I could take off an entire summer and winter break and still have a job when I return. The work was not very hard and was very laid back.

    Cons

It gets really slow sometimes. It was also hard to get a raise and grow with the company. The corporate office dictates without any regard for if it is possible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the little people and give them the opportunity to grow.
