    Pros

Great work environment with great co-workers. Pay is competitive and company pays quarterly bonuses if company budget numbers are met. Opportunity for advancement is available, but gernerally speaking, since many posistion have been filled for sometime, turn-over at this company is very low.

    Cons

The management style mostly. Too little communication when needed to complete projects.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more involved with your employees. Stop by, say 'Hi'. Check in to see how the day is going, work load progressing, address any issues or problems. Biggest complaint I had was management style was a little 'distant'. I don't want to be micro-managed, nor am I making that suggestion. But I think it's important to maintain rapport and 'face time' to check in with your employees on job performance, pace, and continuing education, cross-training and introduction to new technologies the company is moving to or considering for future.

    Pros

Small company so get more money, faster promotion, good technical exposure, If you want to learn more technical and lern to work in pressurized environment, good company to work.

    Cons

Smaller company, hire and fire policy, 1 person rule.. Only the director makes all the decisions. No team environment. No training. Requires to be productive 1st day.

Good Resume Builder and Decent Pay…Too Toxic for the Long Term

    Pros

opportunities for skill development, company observes most holidays, employee appreciation events, satisfactory compensation (and bonuses)

    Cons

Too many bad managers. They sacrifice the morale of their reports (bad training, not recognizing when people are being overworked….), everyone is so overworked - it's impossible to have a healthy work/life balance, out of date tools and limited resources make work harder than it needs to be. No opportunity for advancement - as hard as everyone has to work there, it's not doing anything for our careers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have more structured training to make sure that employees are getting what they need (even if they have a bad manager), change the review system - it's tedious and is useless to help employees, create more opportunities so that hard workers can advance.

    Pros

fun company events, great people, bonus plan, decent benefits, business growth, strategic CEO and Executive Leadership, offers a level of job security.

    Cons

Many of the people in middle management and Director level positions possess poor leadership skills at best and do not have the skills to recognize talent. Employees are overworked and are unable to have a healthy work/life balance. There is no opportunity for advancement for those who are interested in career growth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Acknowledge that great employees are feeling burned-out from being overworked. Hire Managers and Directors with GREAT leadership skills and oust the less than mediocre people in their current Director and Management roles. Hire more employees to help relieve the overworked employees.

Current Employee - Assistant Marketing Manager in Lewisville, TX

    Pros

Decent compensation, good workspace, good and safe-feeling job security, good company values and fun events, CEO makes sure to take the time to update everyone on how the company is doing.

    Cons

Promotions, organization, "drama," gossip, and not getting along with each other. Bad management. Obsession with hierarchy. Wasted time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get things in order, manage projects better, and draw lines between each employee's roles better so no one is stepping on anyone else's toes. Recognize and address bad managers when you see them.

Former Employee - Manager in Lewisville, TX

    Pros

Hard-working and talented coworkers, some departments are better than others, decent pay. It's a good place if you like a lot of chaos.

    Cons

-- Horrible work/life balance and upper mgmt doesn't care if they burn out their employees
-- Company tries to save money by hanging on to old technology. What upper mgmt doesn't seem to understand is that they're losing more money that way. The amount of inefficiencies at Parago is ridiculous.
-- This is a software company that is being driven by business and they have no regards for how a good technology company should be run.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This company is going to continue to lose business and miss deadlines unless you figure out that it the company culture that needs to change. You need to value your employees and start taking your technology side seriously.

    Pros

    I can't think of any.

    Cons

This company frequently schmoozes employees, building them up to feel special and valuable, then discards them. They buy out their competition and leave hard-working employees in the dirt.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to remember that CSRs and QA and data entry types are the reason why you get to be so rich and successful. Don't treat them like they're disposable.

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee in Lewisville, TX

    Pros

Growing company with great potential if maximized strategically.

    Cons

Like an earlier review said, it depends on who your manager is. If you get a manager who is not skilled to be a manager and is not organized, then forget about being trained. You will be left hanging with lots on your plate and no where to turn to. The career path is not well defined and lot of the processes are not organized.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make a plan to do a top down process organization and a training pal for new employees and old ones.
