I worked at Paramount Home Entertainment full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Young, buzzy, fast moving culture in exciting industry sector
lots of social events, corporate entertainment, premieres
fun working culture, couldn't wait to get into the office everyday to see my colleagues
Loads of freebies
Cons – slowly dying sector
Physical sales of DVD's, blu-ray tanking fast and being replaced by digital
Retail industry in turmoil, margins squeezed which means less shelf space for DVD product and with a lot of competition from studios trying to flog release after release it's a tough gig.
pay isn't that great but outweighed by the fun working culture.
Advice to Senior Management – Focus on digital
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

I worked at Paramount Home Entertainment
Pros – A lot of fun, great shopping, previews of great movies, star gazing (if you are into that)
Cons – Very much still a good ol' boys club mentality, I would hear male managers talking very nastily to female VP's and Managers constantly, very belittling. Ideas proposed by female staff members were vetted by make employees before being approved. My first week, I was told I would get used to it ofr leave.
Advice to Senior Management – Get over it, yes you have females in positions now, but start treating them like they have brains, and are as talented as you are, get the old boys club out of there, and bring in new blood.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
