I have been working at Pardot full-time

    Pros

The people are its best asset. Derived from the belief of co-founder David Cummings that people are the only competitive advantage you have complete control over, Pardot only hires the best of the best. Turnover is extremely low because it's such a good place to be. When you work with other smart people every day and all of the BS that cuts out, its hard to imagine anywhere else even getting close to this sort of atmosphere.

    Cons

There aren't really any cons. One of the few places I've worked that doesn't have corporate politics and bad policies. Everyone just wants the company to do well and dominate the market.

I worked at Pardot full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The benefits are great. Salary is extremely competitive. The people are amazing.

    Cons

Salesforce came in and completely change the dynamics of the sales team. Quotas are unrealistic and those who are actually achieving their numbers have 4x the territory than those who aren't. Management plays favorites. It went from a positive environment to an extremely negative one where one isn't motivated to perform well. It feels like Salesforce is trying to manage people out and I don't expect the Pardot sales team to be around in a few years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Open your eyes and see how unhappy your employees are.

    Pros

Truly one of the greatest places I've ever worked. You can talk about the perks of the company until you're blue in the face but nothing compares to the quality of the people here. That's really what makes it somewhere that you look forward to coming in to on Monday morning.

    Cons

Tough to say much here. Like any company that's been acquired, it may prove tough to keep the same office culture, but the people here seem committed to doing everything in their power to make it happen.

I have been working at Pardot full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Co-workers are bright, kind, and helpful - no one throws anyone under the bus.

Comped MARTA passes, flexible hours, and work from home options are ideal. Being able to avoid Atlanta traffic a few days a week is a lifesaver for me!

You can't help but geek out over Pardot's powerful, easy-to-use product.

Overall: great people, great benefits, great software to support

    Cons

Managing work / life balance is a challenge when you love your job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stay focused on user feedback and devote resources to building out more training / professional development programs for employees.

    Pros

Aside from the amazing perks, the people at Pardot are what set us apart from everyone else. Management is great and gives a lot of freedom to employees.

    Cons

Not really any cons...a good problem to have!

I have been working at Pardot full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    -Youthful culture
-Flexible work environment (Want to telecommute? Not a problem.)
-Solid benefits (Subway or parking passes, stocked kitchen.)
-Autonomous (Want to take on/start a new project? Just do it.)
-Great place to build your resume

    Cons

-Youthful culture. (No senior management, no mentoring, etc.)
-Christian work environment. (Might be a positive for some, negative for others.)
-Two recent acquisitions (Transformed Pardot from a start-up to a 5,000+ person company.) -The employment uncertainty has been a huge pressure-cooker. People are constantly trying to prove how valuable/necessary they are.
-"Managers" have disappeared as they try to get face/meeting time with the new parent companies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't forget why people (used to) LOVE coming to work at Pardot. Stay true to your core culture values.

I have been working at Pardot full-time

    Pros

In my opinion, the best thing about Pardot is the people. Yes, the perks are great (massage anyone? free food anyone? "freestyle friday" anyone, etc), but the people are some of the most qualified, considerate, and passionate people I've ever worked with at any company. In fact, I have the ability to telecommute but frankly, I enjoy the office environment so much that it's rare that I work from home. Also, it's nice to work for a company that has a great product. It makes our sales job much easier when we can leverage our solid product, as well as our reputation for fantastic service.

    Cons

We don't have breakfast served on Fridays. That's the biggest con I can think of.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to focus on the hiring process to ensure we maintain the culture of positive, supportive, and self-starting people.

Best Place to Work, Best Place to Be a Customer

Current Employee - Client Services in Atlanta, GA

I have been working at Pardot full-time for less than a year

    Pros

One of the overarching philosophies at Pardot is that we want it to be the "best place to work and the best place to be a customer." That truly guides many of the decisions we make on a day-to-day basis and it keeps the rapidly growing team aligned in regard to what's really important. I've worked at other great companies in my 18-year career, but Pardot's commitment to people is unparalleled.

    Cons

The move from "spunky startup" to "established corporation" will challenge some employees who relished the role of the underdog. With the acquisition comes new processes and protocol, so keeping a keen eye on that unique Pardot culture will be key.

That said, so far, so good.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Grow, but don't lose sight of what made you so successful over the years. Maintain that emphasis on people (your own and your clients') and continue to dominate.
