I worked at Paris Baguette part-time for more than a year

    Pros

It is a growing company at it's early stage. Especially if you really involve yourself with your job, you are likely to grow with the company.

    Cons

As it is a growing company at it's early stage, they do not have a set system. It becomes frustrating how things run in this company.

I have been working at Paris Baguette part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Fun place to work at during your college years.

    Cons

Promotions are hard to come by as management tends to favor Korean speakers.

I worked at Paris Baguette full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Employment happens practically on the spot, but don't expect you'd be there long (and why would you). Company culture is nonexistent, but that means little to no formality. You are given enough responsibility on a daily basis that you'll learn enough and look good for your next job to pay the bills.

    Cons

Once again, company culture is non-existent. There is no employee manual or listings of expectations/core-values/benefits, so don't expect to be treated like you're at all valued in this work-environment. The view on company values is solely from a production standpoint from both the back-end to the front-end of the store, and there is minimal awareness for giving workers training in customer satisfaction. High turnover rates is not seen as an issue for this Korean company, and it is unlikely you'll be in-the-know for advancement, unless you fit the profile. Management is very Korean, or have at least a bias for people of Asian descent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make a ledger for employee expectations. Train the employees to have core values such as respect and good customer service. Might sound like a weird thing to do in the oh-so-glorious world of the retail-profession, but it generates a better workplace for everyone, including the customers.

I worked at Paris Baguette part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good part-time job throughout college. Hours were extremely flexible and management is very understanding.

    Cons

Pay raises were extremely volatile. I would receive 3 in a year then none the following.

I worked at Paris Baguette full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The company has a lot of potential to grow. Depending on the location you can get high paced work ( I mean if you like that), good people, and a very friendly environment. Also discounts on bread, pastries, and cake

    Cons

The company has a lot of problems where it really shows in the structural hierarchy. Because it is a Korean based company, a lot of orders from above have to be reviewed by the Korean board in South Korea and that takes time. Trying to get a promotion or a raise in salary felt very biased on a racial standard and the company does not encourage a strong work environment for the employee to seek these opportunities. Also, there doesn't seem to be a set policy book that follows US standards. The company comes from abroad and still has not adapted to US standards.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A creation of a proper policy book that adheres to US standards and laws. Better opportunity and a proper system in salary raises and growth in the company.

    I worked at Paris Baguette

    Pros

You get to eat a lot of bread and pastries that actually taste pretty good. It is a part time gig.

    Cons

It's a good job for high schoolers and college students but aside from management positions you are not going to move forward professionally.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get your workers more involved in the everyday management happenings in the work place. Or else it will simply be errands everyday.
