Be Careful

Director of Sales (Current Employee)
Melville, NY

I have been working at Park Electrochemical full-time for more than 10 years

ProsGreat middle management people
Very good products

ConsNo ability to make decisions. All come from the CEO.
Company is very slow to re-act / change to new market conditions.
Lack of data to pursue large contracts in the aerospace market
Require additional equipment to remain competitive.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to the people who actually do the work.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

The worst place I have ever worked

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
Fullerton, CA

I worked at Park Electrochemical full-time for more than 3 years

ProsSadly, the only compliment I can extol is to the hardworking people on the floor (who are ultimately treated as animals.)

ConsManagement at the Fullerton location (Nelco) consists of uneducated thugs. They manage by intimidation, treat employees with absolutely no respect and demonstrate little to no professionalism. An elderly secretary acts as gate-keeper of the office, keeping track and recording the activities of employees. Except for the elite few, a sick day requires a doctor's note and failure to provide one results in a demerit on your record. I witnessed so many cases of inappropriate and/or offensive behavior by management that I could have retired on lawsuit proceeds. The technology is stagnant and the office politics are extreme - you have no opportunity to grow or advance.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake a moment to look in the mirror and ask, "Do I treat people the way I would want to be treated?" Be thankful for your own jobs- no reputable company would ever hire you.

Poor Management, Little Concern for Employees

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Park Electrochemical full-time for more than a year

ProsLocation is a plus, although, a view doesnt say much for the overall work conditions.

ConsVery little concern for health and safety of employees.
Lie about benefits and compensation.
Purchase the cheapest tier of insurance to offer employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementThink more about your employees and less about yourselves.
