I have been working at Park Electrochemical full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    Great middle management people
    Very good products

    Cons

No ability to make decisions. All come from the CEO.
Company is very slow to re-act / change to new market conditions.
Lack of data to pursue large contracts in the aerospace market
Require additional equipment to remain competitive.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the people who actually do the work.

    Doesn't Recommend

I have been working at Park Electrochemical full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Decent benefits as far as health/dental/vision insurance, etc. If they didn't lie to you about them. Which they will.

    Cons

Everything. No care for the safety or well being of employees unless it could potentially become a problem for them financially. Everything. Management kept changing their minds about how you were to get your raises. You could train in a new area with the promise of a raise for learning the new machine, but then they would change their mind and not follow through with it because lack of personnel.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate better amongst yourselves and show more courtesy to your employees. If your employees tell you something, listen. They're the people actually on the floor doing the job, if they're telling you there is a problem, listen and check into it.

I worked at Park Electrochemical full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Sadly, the only compliment I can extol is to the hardworking people on the floor (who are ultimately treated as animals.)

    Cons

Management at the Fullerton location (Nelco) consists of uneducated thugs. They manage by intimidation, treat employees with absolutely no respect and demonstrate little to no professionalism. An elderly secretary acts as gate-keeper of the office, keeping track and recording the activities of employees. Except for the elite few, a sick day requires a doctor's note and failure to provide one results in a demerit on your record. I witnessed so many cases of inappropriate and/or offensive behavior by management that I could have retired on lawsuit proceeds. The technology is stagnant and the office politics are extreme - you have no opportunity to grow or advance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a moment to look in the mirror and ask, "Do I treat people the way I would want to be treated?" Be thankful for your own jobs- no reputable company would ever hire you.

    Pros

Location is a plus, although, a view doesnt say much for the overall work conditions.

    Cons

Very little concern for health and safety of employees.
    Lie about benefits and compensation.
Purchase the cheapest tier of insurance to offer employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Think more about your employees and less about yourselves.
