    Pros

Large company with great opportunities for advancement. They are involved in a lot of industries with a large rage of products they offer.

    Cons

The company is a widget/product driven company. Service and support isn't something they have knowledge and experience in.

    Pros

Solid company, very diverse. Locations just about everywhere. Divisions/locations have been in the past allowed to basically run the business as they see fit.

    Cons

New leadership in 2015, things are changing and we must trust that the new leadership is doing the right things.

    Advice to Management

Talk the talk and then walk the walk. We need to lead by example starting with communicating expectations and then following up with feedback.

    Pros

Full time associates have opportunity for some good benefits. 401(k) profit sharing, and decent salary. Advancement is possible and they offer to do a pay back for furthering education in the same field as the department you work. As long as you always do whatever everyone asks you to do (regardless if you can not physically do it, or if you take vacation... JUST DO IT)!!!

    Cons

Company is very deceitful, they are not upfront and honest with employees about division shut downs. Constant displacements, and during displacement you will lose your pay and drop to starting pay of any department you end up in. (EX. Machinist making $23.00/hr gets displaced into shipping, the pay will drop to $12.00/hr. until you can bid out) A lot of discrimination in upper management. Not family oriented or understanding about emergency situations with children or other family members. Long term employees are very problematic for anyone that seems to exceed on the floor. More drama than a Soap Opera. People who have a fear that someone can do their job better than them (Ex. Leads, Engineers, etc) will do everything they can to have them terminated or disqualified. The training is not done correctly unless someone from upper management is standing there watching. If you schedule your vacation in advance Leads, and HR will try to mark you absent or a NO SHOW (you must always watch the points even using vacation)

    Advice to Management

Re-think the employees you have hired into Lead/Supervisor positions, pay more attention to what is happening on the floor without people knowing you are watching. Be more understanding about family values. Learn to be as honest to the employees as you expect them to be to you.

    Pros

Benefits are good. Co-workers are awesome people to work with...Rona is good...

    Cons

Some supervisors and upper management are bullies! They feel they can treat employees anyway they want! The employees do not have a voice! Way to many Saturdays and forced overtime during the week!! Their bottom line is lining their pockets and forget about those that put that money in their pockets. Treated like work horses!! Very low morale because of management, They will not do anything about the heat or mosquitos in the summer time!! Pay needs to be raised for people that have been there for a long time and know their jobs very well, they should be making way more than a person that has only been there for a couple of years and goof off instead of working. Instead of hiring people to fill positions that are currently open they just work their employees to death. They possibly cannot find people to work for them because of their reputation!! They allow for no sick time or personal time off expect you to burn your vacation if you are sick or you have a spouse or child that is sick. While management and some office personal can take off whenever they feel like it without any consequences. To sum it up this plant is one of the worse plants to work for!!

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with respect and remember they have families outside of your factory just like you!! Treat them how you would want to be treated. Think about your employees like people instead of a number. Remember they are the ones lining your fat pockets!! Learn how to manage!! A happy employee is a productive employee!!! Remember on the way to the top you are only as good as the people below you and you should not treat them like dirt!! Stop bullying your employees and treating your employees like dirt beneath your feet!! Management may have a college degrees but your are not better than the employees underneath you. How can you tell people how to do their jobs when you cannot even turn a machine on. I truly feel that someone needs to come in and clean house and get rid of all of our upper management with the exception of a few supervisors!!

    Pros

In the right situation you will find great people that are easy to work with. Parker works to develop key talent, & Parker on your resume is attractive to recruiters.

    Cons

Where to begin... Rampant office politics, clueless senior managers, total lack of respect for experience & absolutely zero loyalty to employees. Primary goals appear to be the suppression of salaries, while devaluing employees to the point they believe Parker is their only employment option.

    Advice to Management

Pay people not only for their PPP performance, but also their dedication & experience. I loved working for this company when Pat Parker was running the show, but treating employees like people rather than a number (current state) went out the window when he left. The only winners with our Win strategy are executive level managers & their handsomely compensated senior managers aptly titled BUMs.
